They aren't exactly solid wood
Well, nothing produced in 2025 can match the quality of items made 50-75 years ago. The boards in this unit are not solid pieces of milled lumber. They are more like tongue and groove floor planks covered with a very thin veneer. So, better than particle board, but not 12" wide pieces of wood from one tree. None of it is overtly warped, but still, not fitting together like tongue and groove, it is all butt joints. The back is very thin wood that only spans half the width of the shelving unit, with a janky plastic joiner that goes between the pieces at the seam. Not quite color matched, so it is obvious when you look at the shelf. I would have preferred no joiner, but the backing boards would not be able to be nailed into the unit without a gap if they were flush against each other without the plastic joiner.
Assembly wasn't too hard. If you use some muscle and a friend, you can get the joints pretty good — not perfectly flush, but pretty good. You only need a hammer and a Phillips screwdriver, and if you have wood floor, we put down a furniture pad to work on top of to avoid scratching the shelving unit.
Overall, if I had infinite time, I could have made a prettier, better quality shelving unit for same amount of money, if bought my own raw lumber, a router, and a table saw. But not having time, these are an adequate but not inspirational solution to our bookshelf needs.

Photos do not match quality
The back is split into two pieces there is a gap of space that you can see through to the wall behind. The piece of plastic that they give you to join the two pieces is unsightly and you can see it all the way up the book shelf.
The doors do not align very well, and in once of the cases the top was bowed pretty bad.
I would go buy something at an local furniture store before ever ordering here again.

Cheap, Cheap, Cheap!
Not sturdy like it looks in picture. False advertising. They called it "Buyer's Remorse" so they wouldn't have to pay for return shipping. So disappointed!

Not exactly as advertised.
The product is actual wood, not partical board so that is a plus. It IS NOT a 6 shelf bookcase though. It is shipped as 2 distinctly seperate 3 shelf bookcases that, once each is assembled, must be stacked and the secured together.

A qQality Product.
A storage /bookcase product made with real wood. Very easy to assemble using only a screwdriver and a hammer. The finish is perfect, appears to be "baked-on", thereby creating a very attractive unit.

Not the Quality I was expecting
For the price I was expecting something a little higher in quality. It says solid wood, but the back is definitely particle board. Also, it doesn't show up on the white images but there are holes on the sides so that you can move the shelves around. The flexibility is nice to have but the holes are very evident when looking at the shelf. I was hoping for something a little more refined and quality.
Finally, be aware that this is essentialy two bookshelves stacked on top of each other, connected by the back panel. I'm sure you could find something similar for much cheaper.

Limited pin holes
For the price, this bookcase is sturdy and looks nice. The downside is that there are not enough holes for the shelf pins and they are spaced out too far. I can not place the shelves at the heights I want with the existing holes. I drilled new holes into the shelf walls. But the holes do drill cleanly; there is no cracking.

Solid, quality wood bookcase
Beautiful once assembled. I love that it's solid wood. Wood is good quality. Easy to assemble if you have experience with putting furniture together.

Easy to build but a little rough
This bookshelf came as expected. It is pine, so the finish was a bit knotty in some places and the paint coverage and finish was wonky in some parts because of it. Also the edges of the boards looked a little rough after installation. Not super noticeable once the bookshelf is full but I guess I'm a little picky so I caulked the inside seams and sanded down the edges of the adjustable shelves. Still a good bookshelf and very easy to build. I have kids and I like the anti-tip hardware it comes with too. Am glad I paid an extra $6 for the extend coverage since the boxes arrived wet in the corners from the FedEx delivery. Thankfully the boxes were heavy duty so no wetness soaked through or damaged the contents. But the instructions inside were to contact Palace Importers if there were any issues and not go through Bed Bath and Beyond so I'm not sure what customer service would have been like if I'd had issues.
