POLYWOOD® Presidential Outdoor Rocking Chair

We were hesitant to buy the rocker without trying it out - but it is comfortable and sturdy. Easy to assemble - took about 15 minutes per rocker and no swearing was involved. We read other reviews that complained about holes not lining up. We didn't experience any problems. We did buy cushions as the seat height of 17 is better for my 6 foot plus partner with the added height of the cushion. I am 5 foot 6 inches and I am fine with or without the cushion. Love that these can stay outside without fear of becoming faded or worn looking. We ordered the side table today to go along with the chairs. We bought white because it matches our trim but some of the other colors look like fun.

Love the Polywood rocking chairs that we bought for our new house. We have a wrap around porch in the front of the house where we put the chairs. Can't wait for warmer weather so we can sit out front and drink coffee in the morning. I will recommend these rocking chairs by Polywood. I love that they are low maintenance, no painting.

The polywood chairs are great. I bought the sand and it is true to the color shown on my computer screen. I have purchased many of these before (8 chairs and 4 tables) and they stand up to the wind, rain and sun. I don’t need to take them in when the weather gets bad. They are very heavy so tipping is not an issue either. I replaced four wood rockers that started to rot and actually the back fell off. Someone could have gotten hurt and not a risk I want to take with my guests. Also appreciate that recycled wood and plastic is being used.

After reading the reviews, I took the plunge. This rocking chair was easy to put together and very sturdy. They actually send you a manual bit or a bit that will fit your drill. Very nice to have EVERYTHING you need come in the box to actually put it together. It fits my average height very well and my taller husband found it comfortable too. We have had some rain, and it is nice to know that this rocking chair will handle weather just fine.

I'd been shopping for some outdoor rocking chairs for my front porch and had settled on these Polywood Presidential Rockers because of good reviews I had read. I love these rockers! I ended up putting them on my patio and have had many compliments regarding their look and comfort. My husband and I aren't very handy with assembling furniture but these were fairly simple. Will be purchasing 2 more for the front porch.

We just are in love with our Presidential Rockers! We ordered two black Presidential Rockers made by Polywood. They arrived in no time! They were easy to put together. We followed another’s review that said to lay out all the parts first! Of course the second one went together easier-but the first one was together in 16 minutes! Nary a scratch-they were perfect! Sturdy and nice. We bought them for the back back deck but have put them on our front porch. They make some statement. We were able to buy seat pillows for them. My hubby is 6’2” and chair is perfect for him. I’m 5’7” was ok but just added a small back pillow to make mine perfect! We hope to buy more Polywood from Overstock!

We bought these two rocking chairs in “Aruba” to go with the POLYWOOD side table we purchased for our porch- the assembly was simple, they are comfortable and sturdy, and the color is vibrant and beautiful. Very happy with our purchase!

The rocker is very well made but it is very upright. We had four completely different size people try it out and all agreed it is very upright. I can live with it but thinking about returning it for something that has a little more decline. If you want an upright rocker, this is perfect, if you like to lean back, not so much.

These chairs are nice quality and were simple to put together. It comes with a drill bit which was a nice bonus. The chairs look good on our porch and are comfortable to sit in. A good product for the price.

These rocking chairs are very nice and sturdy. It is better to have two people to assemble however one person could. They are very easy to put together only taking about 15 minutes per chair. The price is really good too!

I bought these in black. They are perfect. Easy to assemble and the tools provided are great. Loved the additional tool so you can use your power driver! I assembled both myself fairly easily. Each chair took about 15 minutes to assemble. The look great and are very sturdy.

I love the chairs. They are perfect for my porch and I am very pleased with the pop of color they add to my otherwise monotone house. They were not easy to put together - I'm not sure how, without some very impressive manipulation and balancing skills, that one person could do it. Some people posted that the holes don't line up. I'm not sure that I agree with that, but I can see where they are coming from. You definitely should follow the rules and start all of the screws before tightening any of them - never start and tighten them one at a time. I can imagine that would make for a frustrating experience. However, the main reason I'm posting this is very specifically because no one had a picture of the yellow rockers in the wild - so I'm hoping to help out the next person considering the yellow. They are very truly sunshine yellow - not butter, nor daffodil...not really even lemon. They are YELLOW. I personally love the happiness bomb on my front porch, but someone looking for a little less is not going to like these chairs.

These are fantastic! Great quality and perfect for my mom to sit in while she hangs with our kids. A little pricey but they should stand the test of time.

Easy assembly beautiful very very strong/tough material. Very nice surprise. I was a little bummed when I came in a small box but assembly was way easier than it looked and it is a one person job. I believe I will have these for many many many years to come.
