The two chairs appear to be very sturdy after the initial build. They were some what challenging to put together, and in putting it together we realized a few design flaws. Some of the pieces just didn't quite line up correctly. Additionally, the pivot points for the chairs (where the top portion goes up or lays flat) are held together by screws with teeth, which we imagine will wear down over time if you are adjusting the chair frequently. Also, when you lay the chair flat, the metal piece that holds the top portion in place just kind of hangs down to the ground, rather than collapsing against the top part of the chair as on most outdoor chaise lounges I've seen.

These Polywood lounge chairs are awesome. Extremely durable, easy to put together. We purchased for a home in the Caribbean as we've been advised Polywood is really the only material that will withstand the harsh salty air. Very happy with this purchase.
