very happy with unit ,really cool looking blue display ,just hope it does not fail, I read some reports on failures plus my niece had her's fixed ,then it failed again ,she then threw it out . I hope the issues were taken care of ,because I really love this unit. The price was too high ,but I really wanted it...You know how that goes, just take out the plastic, and pay the bill later.
I researched and used a Consumer magazine to study testing results such as reliability and cooking evenness. Absolutely thrilled at the results of how easily I can adjust the power level and time. Very spacious interior. Love the dials and blue LED display. Very stylish and great addition to the kitchen. This is the best microwave I have purchased by far.
I needed a small / compact microwave in stainless steel (not just the front but sides as well) and this fit the bill. I was surprised at how powerful it was given its small size. It was so simple to figure out (neither my husband nor I read the instructions) and with a minute, we figured out how to set the clock and use it. It also fits our oversized dinner plates on the turntable so even though it looks compact, it has decent size inside. I took off one star because if the door is open and you press on it, the microwave is unbalanced (but one should never do that anyway) and also, because the stainless is incredibly smudgy (but we keep a microfiber cloth in a drawer in the kitchen and a quick swipe removes finger prints). I should also mention that it is rather quiet which is a nice feature and that the timer switch recessed or telescopes with the touch of a finger which is a nice feature. Overall, well worth the money spent.
The microwave oven is great except for one thing, the back light on the clock is only on when the oven is in use. The rest of the time you cannot see the time. This oven replaced one just like it and the time on the display panel was on all the time. Nothing in the manual offered any help. I call customer support and after some checking around, the person came back on the line and said it doesn't stay on because the manufacturer wanted to get an electric efficiency rating and so the clock isn't lighted except when the oven is in use. An LED light draws virtually no power. I cannot believe the answer is accurate. Otherwise, why would the clock always show the time but not be visible? Help please. SLD
