If you follow the instructions, it is not that difficult to put together (note that i do like putting things together though). I have had for about 3 years now, and they are still holding up great! And i always get complimented on them. I do take the cushions off whenever we are not using, however, you could probably get a cover for the furniture, to keep them good. On the large table stand, the pieces that suction the glass into staying in place have eroded a little, but once again, that probably wouldn't have happened if i had been using a cover. For the price, this set was great!
