This table is lovely but after one week and one rain, it appears as though the wood was not finished for the outdoors. So much so that I had to come back to overstock to make sure that this table was listed as "outdoor". I hope it lasts and stays nice, but the way that certain areas swelled with the water and the finish seems to be fading already, it makes me hugely disappointed. If it lasts the summer and looks nice I will come back and change my review, but for now this looks like it's going to be a huge disappointment. UPDATE: This is only getting worse with time. Gorgeous table, I adore it, but it is not outdoor safe. After only a couple of months, the wood is splitting, swelling and flaking paint. Do not buy! I hope I can get a refund, I am so disappointed!

I love this table and bench set...it's the perfect size for my 12' x 16' back porch and from inside the house the black hardware contrasted to the cedar tone wood is very eye-catching. I did wipe on two extra coats of boiled linseed oil for extra weather protection and any rain that blows onto it just beads up. It was easy to put together, all the parts were there (including one extra of each type of bolt, screw etc.). The wood is made to look thicker than it is but it is reinforced underneath and it works great for my purposes. Personally, I wouldn't use this set fully exposed to the weather, but I believe it will hold up for years under a covered porch, assuming it gets retreated as needed with the boiled linseed oil.

Love the beautiful acacia wood in this table and benches. Like previous reviews stated, it did need another coat of polyurethane to protect it. One of the benches came and the bolt didn't work to secure the leg to the table top. Overstock immediately sent us a replacement bench. We have it in our kitchen at our Cottage. We got lots of compliments on it.

This table and benches are beautiful! Easy to put together and very heavy and high quality. The color of metal on the legs is a deep gray brown so it goes great with the browns in my other patio furniture. The wood has a rich gorgeous color and the rain beads up on the wood so I know it is protected and will last!

This is an amazing picnic table. The wood is such a beautiful color. The metal and wood together is such a nice look. Easy to assemble. Bought a cover to protect the table and benches. Too pretty to let it get weathered. But use it A LOT! LOVE THIS!

This outdoor picnic dining set was exactly what we wanted. It looks nice, although recommend it would be best to add protective coating so it maintains against weather without spitting.

This table is amazing! The wood is incredibly high quality and VERY smooth. It's very stable, much better than a typical outdoor table. Assembly was complete in under an hour with unpacking. It adds a lot of class to the patio. I'm very excited about eating at in during our next party. The legs and under-table hardware is attractive as well. This is one of the best pieces of furniture we've bought in recent years. Extremely highly recommended.

I love my outdoor patio set. The wood surface is very smooth to the touch. The Wood and iron combination give it a very rustic yet contemporary look. It Sits eight people at a time.

This is a really great bench and table set. The wood and dark metal look great together. Pretty easy to put together. There is no hole in the middle of the table for an umbrella so you'll need to buy one with it's own stand that sits outside of the table. Everything feels solid. So far no stains or scratches. ** 7/29/19 We've had good waterproof cover over the set all the time, but even so the nice finish on top of the tables and benches has started coming off and looking a little shabby.

Beautiful table that exceeded my expectations. I am using this as my indoor main kitchen/dining table with one bench and 3 chairs, that now need a fun color (The other bench is accenting another room). It was pretty easy to assemble and did not take too long. It is very sturdy feeling. Crumbs are likely to get caught in between the wood, but it should be easy enough to clean. Looks like it will outlast the maple table we have tossed to the curb! If you're on the fence about it as an indoor table, don't be, it is beautiful!

Clearly this cannot be outdoor furniture. The wood has completely discolored, warped and cracking. Looks great out of the box but after a little outdoor use it is ready for the dump!

Don’t waste your money... after a few short weeks the top of this table warped. It was stored for the winter and recently put back out outside. After some rain the benches are warping/peeling. This clearly is not made for outdoor use although it is marketed as outdoor.

I've had the table for a year and the wood has faded, warped and already started to chip.

While this looked wonderful when we first got it, it has not held up. We’ve had it under a covered porch for 1.5 years and it looks terrible. It could be resanded and refinished if we had the time but I feel like it should have lasted longer especially having been largely protected from the elements.

Fits four adults well. Assembly was easy. Bought for our family of six but we have a seven year old and three smaller ones so it should be fine. Thing to note: when we put it together they want you to lay it flat on the floor but when we put it upright part of the wood cracked on the table top. So be careful to roll it on its side rather than flip it top to bottom. If that makes sense! Great addition to our backyard!

I ordered this set in the dead of winter and it actually rained a lot in Los Angeles. I attempted to assemble this but a few pieces were either too big, too small, too wide, or not wide enough. My bad for not acknowledging the return policy, but I wasn't aware that I needed to return it until it was assembled. I really hope that other people don't have the same manufacturing flaws mine had, it's a shame I won't be able to enjoy it as I intended.

I love this table and benches. It's beautiful! Hubby impressed with how well it was made and ease of putting together.

This is a really nice and good quality 3-piece picnic dining set. I was nicely surprised by the good quality. Very easy to put together. Used in a back porch as shown in picture. Highly recommended!

It is a nice table, but it does not last long at all. Gets weathered very easily.

Great quality table- not too difficult to assemble - have received many compliments on the look - not the usual wood picnic table - great purchase!

Love it. Easy to put together. The only sad thing was it came chipped on the side.

Substantial and high quality set made in Vietnam. Missing hardware, but a drive to the hardware store and a 20 minute search fortunately yielded the 2 special sleeve nuts needed. I did not need another adult to assemble the set as warned in the instructions. Just be careful. It took me 90 minutes to assemble the 2 benches and the table, not including the hour spent going to the hardware store to get the missing sleeve nuts. All assembly is completed with an Allyn wrench which is supplied. Actually, two extra wrenches are supplied, as well as extra screws and washers. Just no sleeve nuts.

This is a great set. It looks very handsome out of the box and expensive.

This table doesn’t hold up well to sun exposure. 3 months in, and it looks terrible. I’d only get this if it’ll be kept covered.

This table was DESTROYED after one winter outside. We even purchased and used the furniture cover they sell along with it, and used that. We've had it for less than a year, and it looks horrible.
