I placed this fountain on our outdoor countertop where it makes the lovely sound of running water. I set it up easily within a few minutes. The lights are a bonus and make for a nice evening around the countertop. I do have to top it up every couple of days and I attribute that to evaporation because of all of the little waterfalls that expose the water to surrounding air. But I wouldn't change that because the multiple waterfalls are what give it beauty and sound. I also like that the lights can be unplugged separately from the pump if you don't want the fountain lighted during the day.
Normally would not buy a fountain online. But this one looked nice and the price was in the correct range. So we took a chance and bought this. The fountain was to replace one we had been using for years and loved. The shipmentbcame quicker than expected and although there was some damage to the outer box there was no damage to the fountain. We took it out of the box not knowing exactly what to expect and breathed a huge sigh of relief when the fountain looked better than in the picture. We have it set up where the old one was and both love it. The rocks look very real and it is taller than our old one so the is more fountain for us to enjoy. We l love how it looks both day and night. My only negative is ther is no way to get to the tubing to blow out the debris that can get clogged in the pump. All our other fountains have an area at the top where you can pum air into the tubing that will clean out the pump. This on does not so it is not as convient to keep clean
I looked for a fountain that would look good in the backyard. I fount the Provence fountain that was made by Kenroy. This was a bit too expensive so I looked a little longer and I found the Triton fountain (also by Kenroy) that looks exactly like the provence- but at a lower price point. I was pleased when I received the fountain that there was no shipping damage to the fountain when I received it. I had never set up a fountain before but there were a number of helpful sites to put in the 110V electrical connection. This was the hardest part of the installation. During installation I needed another person to hold up the top of the fountain so that I could place the pump in the basin and hook up the hose. As it turned out this was not too difficult. Once it was running I had to adjust the fountain so that the flow rate was not too high. We have a relatively quiet backyard and the sound was quite noticeable. The other thing I learned is that the sound of the fountain water should be random rather than like a hose filling up a pool sound. This fountain can be adjusted to sound very random, but it required a few tricks. 1. I slowed down the flow through the 5 holes and increased the rate of the overflow out of the top basin. 2. I used clear plastic tie downs to slow down and direct the flow of the water out of the top basin and 3, put the pump on the lowest setting. Now the sound is very soothing, the fountain looks great and I am not having to fill up the fountain every day with water. Here is a youtube video of the Provence fountain with the overflow.
This is small but nice little fountain. Based on the picture it looks like it's bigger than it actually is. Mine came damaged but rather than return it I just fixed it. There were some holes in the top bucket so the water was dripping all over the place. I sealed the inside with clear silicone and that fixed the problem. We have it in the planter in our courtyard and it has a nice sound to it. It's loud enough to hear but not so loud that you have to shout when talking to others. It's a nice little fountain with a gentle water sound. The lights give it just a little bit of light at night which is nice. The only downside is that it doesn't have a switch to turn it off and on. You have to disconnect the cord that connects to the power cord or unplug it from the wall. We plugged ours into a weather resistant photocell timer and so can run it as much or as little as we'd like without having to unplug it.
