This cheerful, well-made, and attractive metal sculpture is a perfect accent to any porch or patio. It is whimsical and colorful, and is a welcoming greeting for guests and visitors. It had been back-ordered and difficult to find for quite some time, and was well-worth the wait. Easy to install on wooden surface.
I had this idea in my mind for our front porch, was to thrilled to see one I did not have to create from scratch. I love the small planters, I am the grim reaper for plants.. so having something I can maybe maintain better or replace easier is ideal. The design I can enjoy year round, vs having to take down, I can decorate it for each holiday, etc, will look adorable with ornaments at Christmas, webs etc for Halloween. I ordered two, half of each arrived broken, thankfully Overstock kindly & quickly sent a replacement (I request one, since I could work between the three to create two that were in good shape) The arms do sit a bit wonky - not even.. perfect if you are looking for quirky (which I was) but if you want flawless, this won't make you happy. IT has a very rusty-feel finish, again if you want quirky and rustic this is a great item.. if you want clean and finished, this will not make you happy. Overall - I am happy because it is what I was looking for, it is adorable.. and I look forward to enjoying it. Plus great customer service with Overstock! It was well shipped, & quickly.. the damage was from the manufacturer.
I bought this bench at the beginning of this summer, in hopes that it would help me with potting plants, as I have a bad back and prefer to stand. It did solve that problem, it was easy to put together, and what I felt was sturdy enough for what I needed it for. It is underneath an eve so it doesn't get standing water on it ever and we are only at the end of July or first day of August, and I have noticed that right across the top between where the sink sits and the right-hand edge and where the sink is on the left all the way through half of the top 'counter' it is cracked straight through all the wood. I am now finding myself thinking that $134 and change was too much to pay for something that was going to fall apart when it hasn't even gone through a season. I would post photos to show you where it is cracked but unfortunately they don't allow me to post photos here. I would think that overstock.com should look into who is supplying them with what, and how well these things stand up after just a couple of months of usage outside. This an outdoor Potter's bench. Not indoor, not undercover, not for inside a garage... This is meant to sit outside in the weather. As I said, mine is underneath an eve and does not get any standing water on it. But if I wanted to rinse it off time and again after working on it with dirt, I would hope that I would be able to do that without worry of a gigantic crack in my top table part of the bench just after such a small amount of time. I am very disappointed that this has happened, because I was so happy with what I thought I got. Buyer beware!
