The fryer is very easy to assemble when it arrives, but you definitely will need to wash it out thoroughly with warm soap and water as there is a film left over from the manufacturing process. I've used the deep fryer a few times so far, to make chicken tenders, fresh cut french fries, and donuts. It takes about 20 minutes to heat the oil up to 350 degrees. The oil temperature stays pretty high even when you put frozen things into the deep fryer like the chicken tenders. The food comes out great and the deep fryer is easy to use. I have two slight cautions/complaints that you should be aware of. First, when the fryer is on it is LOUD, like jet engine loud, due to the the way the ignited propane is funneled through the hollow tube to heat the oil. Second, it is somewhat difficult to maintain control of the temperature of the deep fryer since there is no automatic control to for example set the fryer to 350, and leave it there. You have to manually adjust the flow of the propane. If you are continually frying, you can pretty much get it to the right temperature and set the valve and its fine. But, if there is lag time in between batches of what you are frying, leaving the valve on one setting will still cause the oil to continue getting hotter and hotter. My solution for each of the issues I've raised has pretty much been to get the oil hot enough to cook what I want and then basically turn off the propane until the oil drops below my desired frying temperature. All in all this is a great fryer and I have really enjoyed having it. The food cooks through just like a restaurant fryer, and it get hot enough that the food does not come out soggy with oil--a problem I used to face with my counter top electric fryer.
This cover exceeded my expectations for several reasons. 1. It's a very heavy canvas material, not thin like I expected it to be. 2. The stitching and craftsmanship are top-notch. I know, it might sound silly, but I was so happy with the weight and sturdiness of it, I looked at the stitching to see if the quality carried over to areas that were not so obvious, and it surely is. This product is built to last. 3. It's true to it's dimensions and fit's my grill perfect. Not too loose, not too tight. I have it covering a Member's Mark Stainless Steel 6-Burner Gas Grill (from Sam's Club model PS-40606SOL). I would absolutely recommend this item, and will certainly look for other items from the same manufacturer.
I have been through several covers over the years and have to say this is the nicest and best one I ever bought. I have had several others which cost more and had lifetime warranty but this is tops.
I own a Weber 4-burner grill and this fits wonderful. It is a little big from front to back, but still looks good when on the grill. The velcro really helps the cover stay on with the winds that we've been having. My grill is under a covered area, but still has the sun on it part of the time. Being in Texas the sun "kills" anything outside, this is my 4th grill cover in three-years. The others were the name brand ones that go with the grill, they didn't hold up long at all and were not nearly as thick. I've had this cover only about a month, so can't tell how long it'll hold up, but the price is lots better than the other ones. I like the handles (fabric) on top as it makes it easier to handle taking it on and off. The back bottom is vented to allow the wind to go through. Buy this, you won't be sorry for the price and looks it's a great deal.
