Good, but his one needs at least a thin pad.
I bought three folding tables, five chairs and one four foot bench by Highwood. They are in the Weatherly pattern and I chose white. What I love about these is that this bench was in the hot sun today, I sat down and did not burn myself. Maybe it is the material, maybe the fact that it is so bright white, but that is my favorite feature. After attempting to build the five chairs, which I will review after Overstock rectifies a problem, I built this bench. It is very simple and straightforward, however it is a little awkward to put together alone. I made sure to have a padded surface and used some of the packing materials under the bench as I was building it. It is not as comfortable as the chairs, and that is because one of the slats on the seat sits straight and the next slat curves down slightly. That one slat digs slightly into the back of my legs. What is nice about these chairs and the bench is that the slats follow a bit of a contour on your back and on the seat as well. I will be getting an inexpensive cushion and I know that will solve the problem. There is a slight little give in the chairs but the bench has two extra supporting brackets and to me it sits a little stiffer. The seat height is a little lower than the chairs and benches I am replacing by an inch, but with a pad it will be the same. It is not so low (16") that you can't comfortably get up and out of the chairs or off of the bench, and the chair seats are wider than the chairs I am replacing. Also the arm rests are comfortable and at a good height on both. This is what I am a little concerned about...I have these all sitting on concrete. I have told my family that we must pick these up and move them, even if it is an inch. Do not drag them. I am even considering getting one of those cheap plastic outdoor rugs to place under this furniture. I believe that over time the bottoms of the legs of this furniture may crack or chip off a bit, even with extra care. I thought about getting the rockers, and seeing this material in person, I would not get a rocker unless it was going to be used on a rug or a sunroom. These products all have a nice warranty, but I still think that caution needs to be taken. If a tiny little pebble ended up under one of the rockers, I think it might damage it. I am curious as to why they do not offer some sort of replaceable plastic or silicon cap to protect the bottoms of the legs. I would attempt to use those little adhesive pads or protectors for the feet of indoor chairs, but I am sure they would fall off in the heat or rain. I am happy that I made the purchase and will be even happier when the chair situation is rectified. They are looking into sending me some replacement parts. I have great trust in buying from Overstock. Everything arrives on or before promised. They communicate tracking info. I have a big credit now because I am Club O Gold and with this furniture I got a 15% bonus. I have bought clothing, lamps, furniture, toilet paper, watches, storage racks, planters, soap, jewelry, toys, medical supplies and more over the years, and have had very few issues. When there is an issue, they have always handled it with little or no followup on my part.
