I bought this bench to dress up the small front porch of my condo. I would call it "weathered gray" instead of gray, like teak that has weathered outside for a couple of years. The instructions are minimal: I advise fitting the (5) pieces together, then add the screws. I cut 2 pieces of 1/2" poplar to slip under the seat in front, to reinforce it. Looks great!
I bought this specifically for outdoors as it advertizes and weathering well for outdoors. One support bar cracked under the resting foot of my husband, and the color is fading being outside. it's a pretty bench, but not as durable as I had hoped.
my friend put this together for me and said it was the easiest thing he's ever assembled. i brought this for my new homes front porch and it's beautiful. the gray color is really cool and i'm excited to coordinate the awnings and flower pots with the bench.
