I ordered 2, to be used by guests. First, shipping was EXTREMELY slow - 10 days. The item tracking showed that they actually left the country, crossing into Canada for a few days, then there were no tracking updates for a few days. One was damaged on arrival. The bottom rack is assembled with only wooden posts/dowels, that are glued to hold it together. No screws. One of mine was not glued & coming apart. You could slide the side of the bottom rack away from the rest of the rack. Separating the bottom shelf into 2 pieces. I was not being rough with the shelf. It slid apart as I lifted the rack out of the shipping container. I had guests coming to town, no time to wait another 2 weeks for Overstock to send a good one. We used wood glue & clamps to repair it. These racks will not be frequently used, so I'm hoping they'll last a few years. They look nice set up & are stable holding luggage.
Very good value for the money. Unfortunately, the largest crate in one of the two sets I purchased had to be fixed. I have assumed the box was roughed up during the shipping. Maybe some plastic wrap or bubble wrap on the bottom of the shipping carton would have prevented the damage.
We purchased this cabinet for a remodeling job we did on our mud room breakfast area and kitchen. The cabinet went together easily with detained instructions. I was surprised how well made was given the price. It was made in Canada and not China. The doors which are usually the hardest part to align were hung true with little or no adjustment needed.
So here's the skinny, this isn't wood as advertised but it's particleboard. One star reduction for the incorrect advertising and three stars for the good instructions, ease of assembly, and overall appearance of the cabinet. My computer screen made the cabinet door look shiny but it's a matte finish and that's fine. Okay, and one more star for being make in Canada instead of China.
