We received the light promptly and it was well packaged and looked to be fairly sturdy and well made for the price. However, the color is NOT rustic bronze. It is painted red with black overpainted in a very streaky manner. While I understand that this "antique" look may be popular for some applications, representing it as a bronze finish is very incorrect. It does not look bronze nor match anything with a real bronze finish so we returned it and the other wall sconce lanterns we had purchased.
Nice looking design but your typical import quality. Nothing special construction wise for your buck fifty. Note that the mounting plate is designed for a round ceiling electrical box. If you have a home where the electrician was lazy and installed outlet boxes (rectangle) the mounting bracket will not go in effortlessly. The slots in the bracket will be slightly out of alignment with the mounting screw holes (though the bracket will bend sufficiently to tighten against the surface). Fixture mounting screws will extend about 1.5" into the box (a pain but manageable). Bring your own wire nuts! The product's premium price does not include wire nuts. No big deal. But again, one would expect more from a premium priced product. Finished install looks nice. We'll see how long the finish holds up.
These lamps were purchased for a restaurant patio and for the 2 days I've had them are great. However, I should have been able to post this review 10-12 days ago. Originally Overstock shipped only the stone - no wick or silver cap. Basically we had polished paperweights for 2 weeks while I waited for the other parts. All said and done, they are truly heavy and look wonderful. With a completely full reservoir (and shortened wick) the flame will burn for 10-11 hours...if they had come complete they'd probably get 5 stars.
