Blown Away
I didn't know what to expect when ordering this. Shipping took a little while and was a bit different than what I was used to, but the whole experience was very pleasant. But for the table. Wow. Seriously…wow. I do a lot of woodworking and don't have my shop set up because we just moved to a new house. I wanted to make my own table for this new dining room but ultimately decided to order a table. I was extremely hesitant because I hate engineered wood. My current table (too small for the room this new table went in to) is one I made and it's from solid planks. Ordering a table offline, sight unseen, made me nervous. The table is extremely sturdy, and even though it's still not true solid wood, it is way more than what I expected and what you would think. I'm impressed. The look is very classy and the detail is quite nice. The leaf mechanism is also robust and will uphold to repeated use if you desire to remove yours, however mine will stay permanently installed. The finish is a satin finish so medium gloss. The color is true to the photos on the website. I have included a photo with some chairs to show what spacing is like for a normal sized chair. 8 total is about all you'd want to use. The hardest part of all this will be deciding on which chairs we want to get for it.
