I purchased this because it stated that it could be used on the stove top, but when I received it the instructions clearly state that you can NOT use it to heat water! The only heat source it can be put on is a tea lite candle!!!

This is a beautiful tea pot. Well designed, it has good balance and capacity. It is actuall larger than I thought it would be, however, I love it.

I purchased this teapot in the beginning of June not knowing that it is not for stove top use (the description does not say "not intended for stove top use".) In about 6 weeks, I noticed rust on the bottom, around the spout, and the inside enamel was chipping. A friend told me that these pots can only accommodate boiling water added into them to simmer tea and that I shouldn't use it anymore. I called overstock.com and told them that the description didn't say "not intended for stove top use". I asked for an even exchange, or perhaps credit towards another pot. She told me that I should have known ceramic wasn't intended for stove top use, that other ceramic pots listed on Overstock had the advisory label (I didn't pursue other tea kettles to read about them), she couldn't issue me any type of credit because it wasn't within the 30 day window (it was 6 weeks), except for 10% off on my next purchase of a tea kettle. I was floored! She also said that she will update the description for this particular tea kettle. 2 weeks later, still no update on the picture. I'm generally very passive when it comes to things of this nature, but I was so insulted that such a large company would treat a customer like this...
