PROS: 1) LOOKS GREAT / AFFORDABLE. it has a modern, sleek look. inexpensive. simple, elegant design. easy to clean (cats). 2) QUALITY BUILD FOR THE PRICE (with exceptions see CONS) materials seem decent. the steel base feels sturdy and has anti slip pads on the legs. i like that it is vinyl covered instead of leather (vegan). relatively light weight (easy to move between apartments). padding is firm. shipping was fast. CONS: i have 2 main disappointments 1) RELATIVELY DIFFICULT TO ASSEMBLE. i purchased 2 of these chairs. the first one that i opened did not have instructions included. not really a big deal; i have assembled many IKEA style furnitures, plus there are only 3 parts, the seat, the back and the steel base; 8 fasteners to screw and done. the problem is that the screw holes in the seat do not line up well with the steel base. in both of the chairs i was only able to attach 3 of the 4 base screws (they are actually bolts? that require an allen wrench, included.) also, the seat back is secured with two allen bolts plus 2 screws that are very difficult to tighten without stripping. i was not able to tighten them completely so the seat back wobbles back and forward a little. 2) COMFORT = NOT A LOUNGING CHAIR. the chairs are not uncomfortable, but they are clearly not designed for lazy day lounging perse. they are relatively small; and short in depth. also they don't recline, and the seat back is at a fairly steep angle. the sides of the seat curve inwards. the result, you feel somewhat restricted to an upright confined position. (helps with posture i suppose; not meant for slouchers like me). 3) OTHER MISCELLANEOUS. the notification from fedex said the shipping weight was 80lbs per chair. which i was concerned about since i was going to have to get them up stairs of a multi-unit apartment building by myself (i was able to roll the boxes up the steps though). the chair ended up weighing 40 lbs so I think that 80lb weight was exaggerated. OVERALL: i am keeping them. the style is great. the smallish size makes the room feel more spacious; they will mostly be used for extra seating when entertaining. for under $200 i think this chair is a good deal.
