5/26/20 September 2009, was the year I sign in for a great change in my life and my business, I joined Novica that year and am now a proud artisan. Novica has made me grow not only financial but it has really helped me improved my designs and has made me pratice Producing high quality products. Joining this team has equipped my skills of idea generation and am able to bring most ideas to life. It's wasn't easy at the start, I could have a great idea of creating a piece but didn't have enough money to make those ideas come to reality, but thanks to the support of the Novica loans, which is also interest free, I can now implement what ever creative idea I get. I no longer depend on only the local market now, since Novica help bring my arts to the doorstep of the world. I use to worry about the least tourist that comes to my country and how to reach them to buy the products but now am worry free because my products are worldwide. I still work from my house where I started but I now have better tools to help my work improve, I also hire and train labors when my orders are more. Novica has not helped only me but my family, my kids have also completed the university and two of them are yet to complete their vocational skill course. Novica awarded me for the top product replenish because of how consistent I kept my goods not to run out of stock, my dream is to help other artisan to obtain success as I am doing and help them improve their skillls like Novica taught me. I appreciate every little comment I get from Novica costumers and the truth is those comments keep me improving and I pray they keep buying my stuffs because it is of high quality and still hand made. I love Novica so much and am grateful old I am a designer by profession. I do my designing with African concepts in mind. Growing up I loved to sketch things on paper. It was a natural talent I guess. At the high school, I pursued a course in visual Arts that helped me develop my natural talent; this made my art studies enjoyable. On completing the high school, I continued at the secretarial school where the stringing of beads helped generate income to my support my education. I sold the beads to friends and students and their comments encouraged and motivated me to create more designs. I also produced more to sell to the local market. After completing the secretarial course, the beads business was very demanding. I focused my attention to grow it. I also got into the carving business as well as developing designed frames for mirrors. I started out by creating a lot of designs and employed the services of a carver to translate the design on wood. With the carved wood I started painting and adding the metal plates.
