Ninja BL770 Mega Kitchen System

First of all, I have to admit that I am a bit of a kitchen appliance junky. I am always looking for the perfect appliance or cooking implements that will perform multiple jobs. I have a number of cutting, chopping, liquefying for drinks type appliance, including Nutri Bullet, a Vitamix, a Ninja Master Prep Pro, and a Magic Bullet 17 pc. system in addition to a few other choppers by Cuisinart and Black and Decker. First of all, some of the reviewer dinged the reviews because they got cut on the blades. Are the blades sharp - you-bet-cha. Can you get cut on them? Of course, they are sharp, and they need to be. Heck, I have cut myself on the Cuisinart mini chopper blades when I was in a hurry to clean them, and I also sometimes cut myself with some of the sharp knives that I have. Is this the fault of the product? Of course not. When you are handling any sharp objects you need to be careful so you don't cut yourself, but sometimes it happens. As for any clittety-clack reported by one reviewer, I haven't heard any of that. Is it loud? - It is, but then so are any of my other high powered mixers and choppers. Even my Kitchen Aid mixer is loud, and the Nutri Bullet can be deafening. Any appliance with a lot of power is going to be noisy, and the volume often depends on what you are processing. Even the Magic Bullet can be noisy if you are pulverizing something hard like cinnamon sticks. If you are sensitive to noise, you might be better off mixing and chopping by hand. So, on to the review for the Ninja Mega Kitchen System 1500. I did have the Ninja 1100 system, and sold it on Ebay. It didn't have the power that I needed or expected. I bought this system, and I really to like it and use it. It has the power of my Vitamix, but is more useful for many jobs and is easier to clean. On this system, the blades come out. So the blades and the container can be cleaned easily. On the Vitamix, the blades do not come out. So you have to put a soap solution in it and run it to get the underside of the blades cleaned. The Vitamix will pull food down into the blades as long as you have enough liquid and the food pieces are small. Otherwise, you have to use the plunger to push food into the blades. The Ninja System does a better job a chopping without liquefying the food at the bottom and leaving larger pieces at the top. The Ninja definitely wins at doing a better job of evenly chopping. I really don't find the locking mechanism on the Ninja to be an inconvenience. It's just a matter of placing the cover on and clicking down the handle. I have used my Vitamix in the past to make a Caesar Dressing that uses whole garlic cloves and it does a good job mixing and creaming everything, but the dressing sticks under the blades and it's difficult to clean. Now I use the single serve cups on the Ninja. It does just as good on the dressing, but it's easier to clean. To make the dressing creamy, I just hold the pulse button down for a couple of minutes. The longer you hold it, the smoother the mixture. I haven't tried smoothies in this machine yet, but I imagine the pulse button would just need to be held down for a couple of minutes to make a liquefied drink. I don't think the blades of the larger jars would make a completely smooth drink, but the blade for the smallest jar is similar to the Nutribullet, and with the more powerful motor would likely make a very smooth smoothie. I often use chopped onions, green peppers, and garlic in my recipes, and the Ninja has be great for this. I throw all of them into the medium container, and everything gets chopped with a few pulses. The chopping can be more or less fine depending on the number of pulses. What I like about the chopping this system does is that everything is evenly chopped. I don't get liquefied food at the bottom and larger pieces on the top as is the case with most choppers. At this point in time, I have disposed of all of my other choppers. I haven't tried this machine for dough mixing, but I have my Kitchen Aid mixer for that. I generally make bread batches much too large for this machine. All-in-all, I am very happy with this purchase, and have used it often. With it's versatility and ease in cleaning, it has replaced my Vitamix on my countertop. Although I wouldn't get rid of my Vitamix because of the longer warranty and proven dependability, for now it has been put away in favor of this Ninja system. I have found this Ninja system to be much more useful and versatile.

I LOVE the Ninja BL770 Black MEGA Kitchen System!!!! It is by far the BEST kitchen system I've ever owned. I'm wondering how I ever functioned without this product. It's a killer blender, food processor, juicer and so much more. It looks and feels industrial but it also works like an industrial piece of machine. Excellent for making mixed drinks. Would recommend to anyone looking to make their life easier in the kitchen.

It is a great blender, food processor set. The single mugs are my absolute favorite! It is very easy to use, and more importantly, a breeze to clean! I haven't used the food processor yet, but I'm confident it will perform as nicely as the blender. Chops ice and frozen fruit in a few seconds. It is a pretty big (and tall) machine when using the full size blender- so it is just an inch too tall to fit under my top kitchen cabinets, but that isn't a deal-breaker for me- the Ninja is awesome. The quality is outstanding- and I'm sure it will last for many years. Would definitely recommend.

Love this product!!! It arrived very quick, and has all you need to blend and mix. I love the single serve sizes - it is great there are 2 included. I used the dough blade and bowl this past weekend and it worked awesome. This is great to take place of a blender, mixer, and food processor all in one.

We've had it about a month now, I'm happy with the quality & how thick the plastic pitchers & drink cups are, no fear of them breaking easily. I also read that the plastic is BPA free, that's important to me. It takes getting used to the power of 2HP! The machine is fantastic. We use it every day for great protein smoothies & drinks. Be aware a few of the recipes in the booklet are lacking info, I made the carrot cookies & realized some ingred's were left out. If the cookbook they offer for sale is anything like that, I think I'll pass on that.

Excellent purchase, really like all the things you can do with this appliance. Blender, food processor, the paddles are great for mixing dough. I have a small kitchen & don't have storage for a lot of different appliances. The Ninja mega system was a good choice.

This is just perfect. I love this Ninja and use it daily. I got rid of my old blender, and hand held mixer, juicer, and food processor for this one new Ninja that does everything. It's wonderful. I just love it.

I LOVE this machine. It is on the counter and I use it at least once a day. The single serve "bullet" accessory is great for making sauces and finely grinding nuts for recipes that you want very smooth....very powerful. Easy to clean. Great having options for the blender and the processor. I have not made actual smoothies yet as I juice with a different machine but I do know when I am ready for smoothies this is the machine that will do it. Would be lovely if it was a quieter machine but it works so well and the price was right that it doesn't matter.

Ninja does it again and overstock makes it affordable... had been watching this system for a while and overstock came through with the best price!

Love this blender! The smoothie cup attachment is so awesome! Makes making the morning smoothie so easy and quick with little clean up! A little loud when blending, but love love love it!

This is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. The price was very good. I have used this machine several times and am so impressed with what a strong motor it has and what a great job it does. Highly recommend this Ninja.

I bought this blender locally because I did not have the money for a vitamix, Well it was a big mistake. The big blender pitcher was never really that great it always left my drinks gritty even after having it on for minutes at a time, plus it would leak through the pour spout on top even if I was under the max line. So I basically bought a blender to only use the processor and single serve cups -.- . Now the processor wasn't bad but I noticed it started collecting grime on the bottom near the part that the base connects to to make it actually spin and also in the handle. Both of which cannot be cleaned because you would need to unscrew the bottom part to get to the grime and when I went to go do that I noticed where the screws are the plastic was cracked, meaning if I took the screws out the plastic would crumble and I wouldn't be able to get it back together and it would be useless. And the single serve cups were to only way I could make smoothies and they were always waaay to small and also would leak. But mainly my reasoning for the bad review is because of what happened the other night. I plugged my blender in and it tripped my outlet, So I reset the outlet and plugged it in again, pressed power, nothing happened the light didn't come on. So I reset the outlet again same thing nothing happened, tried a different outlet, nothing happened. Tried something else in the outlet to make sure it wasn't my outlets and the hand mixer turned on. Pissed I took the blender to another outlet somewhere else in the house and still would not come on. I've only had this blender for a year and a half and it is already dead. Don't waste your money on this faulty blender...

Was so excited to get this Love making daily veggie drinks Made cookie dough in a breeze chopped my husbands guacamole a little too smooth so use the dough hook the next time & it was purrfecto Absolutely love this Ninja

I make a protein shake daily and this is perfect for the job! I don't know what I would do without my ninja! Mixes those frozen strawberries each and everytime and I am pleased with the results!

Love my blender. I use it to make green smoothies so it does a great job in getting them to the perfect consistency. I can blend in cup and take with me without using so many dishes or having to clean the pitcher and another container.

This is a great blender. It is powerful and chops up everything I put in it. I wish I had bought this blender a while ago. I use it daily, so far so good. I would definitely recommend this blender.

My wife has got so much use out of this blender. I love all of the attachments that it came with. Great value and very fast shipping. We have a had it for awhile now and still works as good as it did the day we got it.

Love this set, it does so many things. I have had for a couple years now and are very happy with it.

I got this for my kids and they love it. It is fast and powerful. They went vegan this year so are chopping a bunch of vegetables now and this machine makes quick work of that. They also went on the Ninja website and bought the additional attachments that can fit on this machine which allows it to do more tasks. Overstock should carry that item.

Bought this blender for my husband and he loves it. Thought it was a little pricey but it is worth every penny. Very durable. Comes with many extra items. Highly recommend.
