Looks great, feels solid. Finish hasn't cured yet. Bedroom reeked of paint solvents, so I took unit outside for time in the sun on two unseasonably warm days. That's helping, but whatever room the nightstands are in still noticeably smells of varnish. In another month, this will probably be forgotten. (This is the factory finish, not anything I have added.) If you can assemble Swedish flat-pack furniture, you can assemble this. The difference is that this is solid wood, not fiberboard.
They are beautiful tables. We use ours as coffee tables because we needed smaller ones for our living room. The only reason that I give it a 4/5 is because there was a crack in the top of the table that had been varnished over. I understand that these are not supposed to be perfect and natural wood but these didn't seem to be imperfections in the wood but actual cracks. Not so bad that we didn't keep them.
Well made and nice looking--great value for the price. Only needed to screw on the feet--took longer to unwrap than to put together. Only negative was an objectionable smell--sort of like varnish--but left them in the garage for 3 days and the smell disippated.
I am very pleased with my purchase. I actually bought two nightstands, the 6-drawer dresser, and the 4-drawer dresser as a bedroom set. The quality of the furniture is outstanding for the price. It was the exact color and contemporary look that I was going for. The only negative I would like to mention is that there is brown/yellow varnish on the bottom of the drawers that can (and will) come off and stain your clothes. Nothing that a thin sheet of contact paper wouldn't fix. Just don't want anyone else making the same mistake I did :)
