We purchased two of these tables to accent a new bad we bought. When comparing products, I looked for 1) as much solid wood as possible without being massively expensive; 2) a width of no more than 20", since we had a very specific amount of room on either side of the bed in which the tables could go; and 3) something unique that would look good in a room that has a mixture of light and dark woods. The nightstands came and all that was needed for assembly was to put the handles in place on the drawers and to attach the feet, and all needed items were in the box. EXCEPT. .... both parts bags were one washer short. I think someone in the factory was having issues that day... Anyway. Easy to fix. And they did go together very easily. The nightstands look as pictured. As to the specifics of what I was shopping for: 1) The majority of the furniture is indeed wood - lighter and softer but very nice and it makes the items easier to manage/move. The back of the stands and the bottoms of the drawers are NOT solid wood but this is not visible, and they seem sturdy. The drilled holes for the handles were not accurately measured - but this was less visible once everything was put together. 2) Dimensions as listed on the Overstock website are (as of this review) reversed. The stands are 15"+ DEEP, and 20"+ WIDE. I had been careful to read the reviews and questions on the page, and saw someone even asked to confirm the dimensions, probably seeing that the photo makes the item look wider than deep. But the O. responder said the dimensions were as written, so I figured perhaps the photo was off. So I bought these thinking I had extra room to spare, when in fact it turned out that the two combined were an inch or so wider than the space I had available. After grumbling a bit, I ended up figuring out a way to rig one table so it would fit, requiring me to remove one leg and store it until we move.... it was easier than returning them. 3) Now that tables are in place they look nice. Just be aware of the actual dimensions, the possible missing parts, and slight inaccuracies (not a surprise in mass produced furniture, though). I'm overall glad I got these but just wish I hadn't had the surprise of the width.
I purchased 2 of these for both sides of king platform bed. I needed something under 20" as I have windows on the sides of the bed that start at 22". These are perfectly suited for my needs and the rounded style is an added bonus near a bed (no corners to bump). These were very easy to assemble- basically, just screw on the legs. Packed well and the style is a nice grey/white as shown-- very mid century. I very much recommend if you are looking for a smaller nightstand with unique color/style - and a good price.
These are really nice, I ordered two and was very pleased. I put them both together in under 1 1/2 hours (and I'm not that skilled at these things). If you don't have things just in place, you can't get the screws to line up which is actually a good thing because once together they are solid, no gaps, and very sturdy. I had my 8 year old help me. The instructions were simple to follow. Just tighten everything down and if things dont seem to fit, check all your screws. This is an attractive, sturdy piece. I do think its a little wider than advertised (because the flat top extends about an inch on each side over the legs). It was larger than I expected but still a perfect fit on each side in a pretty small bedroom space. I got these to match an American Signature Urban Design collection bed (the matching nightstands were too wide) and the wood match is pretty perfect. Despite being pretty small, the drawer space seems huge (very deep)and they have a very solid appearance. One thing, I did need a drill (I have a low-powered battery operated one that worked just fine) to screw on the back piece and the bottom sliders (there are no pre-drilled holes).
I ordered 2 of these nightstands, and they were easy to assemble and are of good quality for the price. It's so hard to find solid wood furniture at lower prices, and this fit the bill just right(it's not all solid, but better than all veneer/laminate!). I always glue the dowels in when I put furniture together with wood glue, just for that extra reinforcement for "assemble yourself" furniture and have had no problems so far! I also lined the drawers with clear contact paper as I read that they might stain light colored items. Just FYI the opening is about 4 inches at the top so you can slide any bins/storage in there as long as its under 4"!
