Overall: This is one of the few mid-century modern nightstands that are affordable and are made of real wood. Highly recommend! Assembly: First, I should mention that the only tools I used were a Phillips screwdriver and a plastic-tip hammer. It might've been easier to use a power drill but it is definitely manageable with a manual screwdriver. The plastic-tip hammer isn't necessarily needed but I found it helpful to get the wooden dowels firmly set in place. An L-shaped wrench is included and used to affix the legs. I would not consider myself a handywoman, to say the least. I found the instructions to be mostly clear except where "insert" cap bolt really means "screw in" cap bolt. That's probably my fault for wanting very specific instructions though--type A here. I also liked that they gave little tips on certain steps. (Note worth adding: you may want to ensure the wheel strips are placed in the correct orientation before trying to put the drawers in...otherwise you might lose your mind when the drawers won't line up.) The whole process took me about 90 minutes by myself. Two people are not necessary. I was very hesitant to buy furniture online that a) I hadn't seen in person and b) that I would have to put together myself. The box was about 50 pounds and very well-packed. If you're on the fence, just do it. You will not regret it!
So happy it finally came back in stock. I ordered bed and two dressers because I love the style of the furniture but the nightstand was out of stock and I just figured it would never come back in stock so this was a great surprise. Received yesterday and I just love it it completes my set. If you want A contemporary sleek bedroom set in this very neutral color this is the one. I hunted for something for some time and I found this, and I'm really pleased with the set. It's very sturdy and looks just great in my room. Instructions not real clear, but end result is really great.
Overall, a good looking, sturdy nightstand. Color is a bit lighter than pictures. Installation was clear enough. 4 stars because Ikea is slightly better quality. Wood on this nightstand seems less dense than an Ikea product.
The nightstand (and matching dresser) looks pretty nice and is functional, but there are a couple things I don't like: 1) It was hard to put together. There are parts of it that you have to screw directly into particle board/wood (depends on the piece) without guide holes. It makes some of the corners/edges not as straight as I would like them. The instructions aren't particularly clear. 2) The outside of it is essentially wallpaper that is put on it, so there are some edges of the paper that weren't quite glued down. Overall, good for the price. Not a forever piece.
