  • Great item! Love it!
    Verified Purchase

Description was very accurate. It runs quietly and does it job in a reasonable amount of time, really close to the times listed in the instructional booklet. This summer, I will be purchasing additional trays as I have way more items to dehydrate. This is one reason I chose this product is that it was expandable and that it came with a fruit roll up screen and a herb screen. Everything I wanted and more in a dehydrator.

  • We love it!

There were so many to choose from on the internet, but i'm glad i went for this one. Greater number of watts than the low end but not the most costly. We have been using this non stop since we got it. I'm going on a road trip with my son and we are stocking up for that too instead of stopping at the gas station where trail mix and jerky is so expensive. As with all - we wish there were an autoshut off. Otherwise we love the temp gauge and how quickly it dehydrates items. The only other thing is that we wish the book that came with it contained more actual recipes instead of "buy our spice packet and you can..." We want to make our own from scratch so it's not as costly as their "little packets" We have found some great recipes other places and are happy owners of this product!!!

  • Food dehydrator

I got the dehydrator for Christmas and my first project was jerky. I used the packets that were included with the unit. It turned out great! The only problem is trying to figure out when the jerky is done. I think that part will come with continued use. It's a great little unit, and my next investment is buying more fruit liners to make fruit leather. Onlything I would like to have had was an on/off switch, when you want to check the food you have to unplug the unit from the wall. Safety feature?
