We're please with it over all. Great quality (all parts fit together, easy to assemble, touch charger works). The desk top itself is able to support the weight of my husband's laptop, monitor, lap and a couple additional sundries. To lift up the top, you need to grab the sides from the middle. It goes up pretty easily, but you do need to give it the initial pull up and then keep lifting until it locks in place. To put it back down, we found that it was a little more wobbly, so don't push too hard and you'll do great. There are only two positions: up and down. My husband is 5'7" and he found it to be just a tad short to work comfortably standing, so we have a set of 2X4s under each leg and an old school laptop tray that he uses to angle the keyboard up forward to work ergonomically in this position. It's a keeper though. We are going to sand, paint and permanently attach the 2x4s, letting them extend past the legs a couple inches on each side to stabilize it when raising and lowering the desk top portion. As a result of that modification, we had to put a 2-4" foot rest underneath so that he can work comfortably and ergonomically while sitting. Not a big deal. And he's quite happy with it, especially as his company has extended work-from-home until the end of June. Hope that helps!
This is a gorgeous and well made adjustable height desk! I’ve been so pleased with the level of quality Overstock sells! This desk is one of my favorites. It’s a mix of industrial and transitional with the steel accents and oak wood. You can always tell the quality of workmanship when all the finishing touches are polished and smooth, not a scratch or knot to be found only the best cuts of wood and the mechanics of the height adjustment work exactly how they should! Well worth the price! You’ll be thrilled!
It looks just like it did in the pictures It is supporting the weight of my large computer monitor just fine. Only problem is that I thought the drawer was real. So there is no actual storage. The desk is a bit tall for me so it is causing me some wrist pain as the day continues. It scratches easily. It has several scratches from either shipping, from trying to build the desk, or it came that way from the manufacturer, so the finish isn't all that great. With stuff on top it is hard to move it from sit to stand. While it is pretty is is just ok in terms of function. It seems there was some imperfections in the finish from the very beginning...
This desk is not only high-quality, but it was super easy to put together. It makes working at home for weeks on end much less painful, particularly due to the standing feature which I had at work. The only downside was that I wish the drawer was a real drawer, but the storage space under the desk top makes up for that.
Very nice looking and finishes. I bought it especially because of the standing desk feature. In my opinion is missing maybe a couple inches higher for that feature, but overall, great product. Easy to assemble.
This desk is beautiful. It's a great value for a sit/stand desk. Do note however, that the standing height isn't adjustable. My fiance is 5'11 and the "standing" height isn't high enough for him, but it's perfect for me (I'm 4'11). The drawer is fake (not a pull-out), but you can access the inside when you lift the desk. Overall, the look is great, it's functional, and a good price. Unfortunately it came with a broken piece, but we were able to contact customer service and a replacement is on the way.
I absolutely love this task and highly recommend the carbon loft stander your adjustable height desk. You could easily be in the middle of some thing on your computer and transition from sitting to standing without even losing a beat.
I love this standing desk! Great for working at home and is large enough for double screens. High quality, easy to put together, very attractive and well-priced. You can raise it to standing, lower the top for regular desk height and there is storage space in-between.
I like this desk a lot. I'm only 4'11", and the standing height is perfect for me. Since the desktop only raises to one height, I'd say this is definitely a petite person's desk unless you raise up your monitor. It's attractive and looks nice in my living room. The work surface is a good size, the finish is fine, and the gray color is easy on your eyes while working. Raising it up and down is a little awkward, but not bad once you've done it a few times. It stays securely in position once raised. The faux drawer handle is useful to pull against when you want to start moving the desktop to lower it again. The desktop is heavy and assembling the legs and crossbar is annoying for one person. But I got it all done solo.
This desk is great! Many of the standing desks I saw were not aesthetically appealing. I like the style of this desk. The height when I'm standing is also perfect for me. I am a petite woman and many of the standing desks I saw would have been too high for me to stand and work. It can be a bit cumbersome to switch the desk from a standing to sitting position and back, especially with a lot of items on the desk. I bought a drafting chair and leave it in the standing position, then just stand or sit as I need, which has worked great for me. It wasn't difficult to put together, although I would say that it took me some time to get the handle in place. It was difficult to reach to tighten appropriately.
This desk was very easy to assemble (only 3 pieces!) and the top lifts and sets smoothly. The only thing I would change is the center drawer doesn't pull open so lifting the top is how you use the storage. Built in usb/phone charger is a nice touch!
I really like this desk! I would have given it 5 stars but I *feel* like the top is assembled backwards? It comes boxed in a few parts, you assemble the legs to the brace bats and then to the pre-assembled top. Which btw takes about 15 minutes and is really easy. I’d suggest a little hex ratchet over the little hex tool they give you because the turning range is very tiny. It’s really sturdy and the mechanics to raise it up are really smooth and light to position. But the interior electronic changing pad is on the back side and the desk raises up and forward to open to the inside. I can’t see what’s in there so I end up just feeling around for what I need. It’s a little strange and again, seems backwards but if it was the other way around you wouldn’t be able to place against a wall and the top would be too awkward to actually work from a standing position. Anyway for the price and quality it’s just what I needed for my remote office.
LOVE THIS DESK. First of all, I've been obsessed with this finish so really digging the statement it makes. I've had knee surgery and hip problems and have an adjustable desk at work, but now with the work from home situation, I knew I needed something more than my dining table. It arrived quickly and was super easy to put together - the top is heavy so I couldn't do that part by myself. I already am sitting much less on my work from home days, and my developing pain is gone. My ONLY suggestion would be to have the front facade of the desk have the ability to be flipped down, that way when the desk is closed, you could easily access the interior.
Love this table. Charger works but not really that convenient lifting a table top to charge your phone. Sturdy, stand up is solid, and color is great. Hefty and good quality.
This was so easy to put together and very sturdy. I love the storage in the desk and the usb charging station.
I was looking for a while to find a desk that could fit in my son’s room without looking cluttered. And I finally found this one. Very cute, easy to put together I did it myself We are using it on a side of the bed and nightstand on the other. The only thing it will be not easy to adjust the height once you have tons of things sitting on a desk
Although this desk is quite attractive and works well in fairly small spaces, any positives outweigh the fact that when you lift the desk top, it has no lock. In other words, if you want to lift the desktop, you must be very cautious about how you move otherwise, it will fall back down. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to return it because I am in desperate need of a desk, so I have come up with a compromise. I insert a roll of paper towels to "lock" or hold the desk top in place when I lift it. My husband will be making a "desk top holder" out of wood this weekend, but this is not what I had in mind when I paid *** for this. Disappointing for sure.
The desk is really nice and seems to be good quality. However, I was pretty disappointed that there was no drawer. The drawer handle is just for looks, which i think is pointless.
A nice and very sturdy high quality desk. The adjustable portion is very convenient to allow for sit and standing positions. Desktop has enough space for dual monitors and a keyboard.
I appreciated that it was easy to put together and very sturdy. They lifting top works well I can stand there and work comfortably.
