This mirror is beautiful and exactly what I was looking for, but arrived damaged. It is a silver/gold color and really brightened up my fireplace. I am going to add a wreath hanging from the middle and it will be perfect. However, it arrived damaged. When it arrived, one of the corner joints had come apart. I was able to tap the corner back together, but the paper on the back was all ripped up and it was not as sturdy as it should be. I used packing tape to tape the paper backing back together and it will work for what I plan on using for, but I expected better quality for what I paid. If I wanted to hang it from the wall, I would be afraid that it wouldn't be sturdy enough and not fall apart hanging on the wall. It is just going to sit on my mantel, so it should be safe enough there.
This is a very attractive mirror. You can't tell from the picture, but each of the tiles on the outside is actually a little beveled mirror with an antique type finish. I thought from the picture they would be like a mother of pearl or metal. Because they are all mirrors it makes the piece much more "blingy" (shiny) than I thought it would be, but it still goes great with our decor. If you were looking for something more muted/subdued this might not be the right purchase. The outside tiles are mainly gray with splashes of brown, smidges of dark purple and dark yellow/gold. I'm decorating in gray tones and this works really well. The colors are neutral enough that I think it would go with just about any color palette. The small beveled mirrors on the circumference really give it a nice touch. The bevels catch the light and make it sparkle, giving it a unique personality. Sort of like a high quality diamond. (Nothing tacky like a disco ball.) The 3 rows of mirror tiles are raised. So the innermost row is probably about 2-3 inches high, the second row a little lower, and the third, outermost row is the same depth as the interior mirror. It is very heavy, about 45 lbs. There are 2 D rings on the back for hanging. We are trying to place it on our 2 story,24 foot mantle and are going to have a professional do the work just to make sure there is no chance it will fall.
Just as expected. Nice colors and I could find no flaws. It is heavy so I would recommend stud mounting. We could not mount to studs because the mirror has its own built in sliders to which the mounting brackets attach. So my only worry is that a minor earthquake might cause it to fall.
Mirror is spectacular!! Using as a floor mirror in bedroom. This is a quality, heavy piece allowing it to lean on a wall woth no problem of falling! The only downside is it scratches easily due to the metallic finish so BE CAREFUL when moving it to its spot!
