I needed a touch of gold for an otherwise all gray and dark brown room and this mirror fit the bill perfectly! It's surprisingly beautiful and well-crafted considering the inexpensive price. It has a bit of an exotic flair to it and lends a nice, warm glow to the whole room. I love how it adds depth and texture above our fireplace, too, thanks to its three-dimensional design; it creates such a lovely focal point. Just a few observations: the metal "arms" bend pretty easily (but can be bent back into place with no problem) so don't be alarmed if it's a little warped looking when it first arrives or if it gets bent a little while you're lifting and hanging it. They're lightweight but not overly flimsy. The gold color is actually pretty mottled (I guess that's what "antique brass" means) and not too shiny which is what I wanted but if you're hoping for something more solid gold and shiny-metallic then this may not be for you. I've included photos of the mirror in both natural sunlight and at nighttime under regular overhead lighting so you can get a better idea of what its true color is. Lastly, the mirror has two openings in the back for hanging and I recommend using both to give it stability since it's pretty wide and thus a bit wobbly/unsteady/unwieldy otherwise.
The background color is a little strange but very well done. It gives the overall appearance of an antique mirror. However, they didn't use to make them this well. Mounting hardware is installed and it can be mounted either way. It is not lightweight and will need mounting into wall stud or solid support structure. Tones of grey, tan, silverish and gold/brass. It would coordinate with virtually any earth tone. Beautiful piece of art.
