Compared to some I saw at furniture stores for 800$, it's a nice piece. The color is amazing with my dark oak colored living room. Only thing is the feet are plastic and we didn't realize at first you drill the screws in by hand wherever you want( no pre drilled holes.) it went in with just a little more effort. Feet are plastic but you can't tell once it's put together. It's on carpet but I'd be worried if it's on hard floor because the bottomed are a little rounded which was weird. Didn't matter in carpet. Also the left door didn't adjust so it scraps the tip when you open it just a little. Overall really happy! I bought two.
The picture doesn't show how really nice this looks and the quality is really nice as well. Not difficult to put together. Color is definitely in the medium oak but beautiful with its variations. Easy to compliment other pieces.
Exactly like we were looking for to match a desk. We got a "oak" finish or natural finish on the shelf, but it is actually like a natural wood with white paint on it. Looks great
Bookshelves are made of oak vernier on particle board even the description says oak wood. Maybe the particle board is oak as well. The packing material protects the wood but the Styrofoam sheds and gets all over the place and had to vacuum everything including the shelves, the floor and myself. Assembly is tricky. I have some woodworking skills and I found it difficult to get everything to align properly. But at the end of the day the shelves are strong and look good if you can accept vernier.
