It's really a sturdy and practical approach for box springs in the 21st century - assembly ( which is why I did not give it 5 stars - I had to assembly it myself ) But when I'm ready to move I only have to disassemble it and organize it piece by piece which will be expedient for my purposes.
If you've been searching around for a mattress, stop here. Especially if you've been exploring anything in the natural / organic / non-toxic world, you know that the experience is nothing short of confusing and potentially exorbitantly expensive. We found this mattress after exhaustively searching (Essentia, Keetsa, Naturepedic, Flobeds... even Casper, Leesa and Tuft & Needle) and here's the scoop: this mattress is awesome. It is customizable, all-natural, high-quality, perfectly packaged, and delivered to your door (do NOT buy this product from Wayfair, by the way--their shipping policies are criminal, and don't promise anything beyond the truck showing up on your street). And this high-end product comes in at a lower cost than the low-end versions of any of the other natural / organic brands mentioned above, only slightly higher than the synthetic ones that will be off gassing for days and weeks. I called Biosleep to ask a question about the layer configuration, and spoke to the owner of the company directly. He was gracious, helpful, and I couldn't have been happier when I got off the line. (Incidentally, if you're looking for the softest version, it's 3 inches firm on bottom, 6 medium in middle, 3 soft on top--kind of intuitive, really). Regarding assembly, am a 5'10" athletic male, and getting it all together and in the organic zippered cover solo was totally doable--the cover is actually quite forgiving. But bear in mind you'll be pushing around 200 lbs of natural latex, so if you're any less adventurous than I, you might want to enlist a partner. Bottom line: if you're reading this review, take my advice. End the torture. Buy this mattress. You'll be sleeping soundly again before you know it.
I have had a latex bed for 25 years...and finally bought a new one.....that is, a Bio Sleep Concept *** latex...the only truly natural processed latex. The layers in the bed are firm with soft layers on top...just perfect for my knees and hip problems. I bought the 12" from *** Sleep, but plan to buy one at Overstock soon for my guest bedroom. The latex is so clean, uniform and fresh with no odor at all. Comfy organic wool and cotton bed cover And the cost is modest considering its quality down to the delicate mesh sock for each layer. Owner stands behind his products and his staff is efficient, prompt and customer oriented ! Great experience all around!
We were looking for a nice organic mattress for our son for a long time. Some of the innerspring ones we saw in person weren't very comfortable. My husband and I have a latex bed that we love. We took a chance ordering this online but are satisfied. It's a little flimsier than we expected. We had to add extra slats to the bed frame to support it. However, there was zero odor and it is quite comfortable. We would buy this again. It is fairly thin and may be better suited for a child than a large adult.
