I purchased this shower panel again for my new bathroom addition, after I sold my home with the bathroom remodel using this panel. So, as you can imagine, I like this panel a lot. My water pressure for both homes was very good, so this was very beneficial to the effective performance of this panel. The shower jets are very nice and handheld shower is low and unobtrusive. One should realize that you cannot run multiple shower functions at once, thus only one thing can run at any given time...only shower head or only jets. If you tuck the function knob between two functions, water will come out of both functions but at reduced water pressure. The metal is very modern but the hard water in my area makes keeping it spotless ever challenging. I have purchased many Vigo products and I am always please with the quality for the price that I pay. Although my contractors were skeptical of the shower panel when I described my desire, I think they believe it is quite handsome now that it is installed. The thermoregulator was a bit confusing for me to use, and the instructions are unclear. However, I believe if you press the button on the handle while turning it to warmer temps, the valve allows the hot water to be mixed in. Overall, the installation appears very easy...no wall valve needed, just two copper pipes for hot water and cold. It is definitely a very good looking piece and I would recommend it. FYI, this has both a wall and corner installation to accommodate several design choices.
There are many shower panels out there, but not too many that are more elegant than this one. The copper-colored brass finish (on a stainless steel body) is a real design statement for those who don't want chrome finish. The overhead jets (there are 50! 5 across and 10 long, in a rectangular pattern) really deliver the water in a broad and incredibly powerful rainhead fashion. Extremely satisfying and even therapeutic. I can spend a loooong time under this baby! I knew I got the big efficient water heater for a reason, and this is it. The handheld is equally powerful but with a more focused pattern from the cool wand. I think you could knock somebody's eye out with this baby! The waterfall feature at the very tip top is more a novelty than anything else, as are the two horizontal jet spray patterns which are powerful enough in their own right but aren't necessarily going to hit your body in all the desired places, if you know what I mean. This needs to be taken into consideration when deciding how high up on the wall to install the panel, because none of the jets are adjustable to where they spray, only how hard they spray. This is a high-end top-quality panel with solid all-metal controls that work independently of each other, so you can get a car-wash effect going if you have good water pressure. Very easy to install too, it just hangs on a simple bracket that takes two screws to attach to wall. You have to pay close attention to where you need the supply line stub-outs from the wall though, because there's limited free space for these connections to "nest" in the back of the panel. We installed vertical shut-off valves to each of these lines but had to remove the handles after opening the valves (immediately before hanging the panel). The instructions don't say to do this, but I can't imagine any plumbing installation NOT having valves at the location itself. Overall, I don't think shower panels get any better than this.
i think it was our plumber's first time installing a shower panel. He seemed to be unsure at first but I don't think he had a hard time with the installation. It's a lot bigger than I imagined. Looks very sturdy and good quality. Looks a lot more expensive. Good water pressure. Looks good in our bathroom. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is because there's no way to increase volume on body jets. There appears to be many holes on the jets where no water comes out.
