These are some nice/decent curtains. They aren’t too thin but aren’t too thick. We ordered them in white and from far away, they look like bed sheets, but up close you can detect it’s textured design. You do have to tie the knots which aren’t easy by the directions. I had to watch a YouTube video and it was much easier than expected. I recommend but NOT in white

Love these curtains and do does everyone who sees them. They are different from plain drapes. Doing the knots at top takes time but follow the directions and they look great. Had to redo a few times to get right but worth effort. Haven't washed yet so can't comment on care yet

Easy to make the loops; after a couple of tries. the length is true to size. my windows measure just under 90 inches. I purchased 4 panels and they give great coverage. I would recommend to a friend.

I was worried that I wouldn't have enough curtain after I ordered these but actually one panel covered where I had two covering before. I was also worried about having a stark white in my house but these turned out beautifully. I am so pleased with them and I love that they are lined. Very well made and I got them at such a great price. The ties at the top were not a problem. I am not sure what all the fuss was about. Maybe the video makes it appear that the person is doing more than one pull through on that cross section. You just place your hand in and twist it and pull the top through, then you work the knot over and make it hide the underneath or not. It was pretty simple but I think possibly they thought because of the repetition on the tape that you did a pull more than once? I have had so many compliments on them. I am still trying to adjust to the white but that is just me. I think I picked the best color. Great buy and great quality. No Regrets!

Perfect and the easy the figure out. I bought them long because of conflicting reviews. My mistake. I will fix this by cutting of the hem, rehemming them and use the remnance for the pull back ties.

    Questions & Answers

    • Q:

"Is the spice more toward red or orange/rust?"

      • A:

In my opinion it is an orange rust.

    • Q:

"I am interested to buying this curtain but I have concerns about the length and the width. What would be the actual measurement of the length and width after twisting the top portion and after the pleats are gathered? So I would know how many panels to buy and if I need to add extra length. Thanks"

      • A:

The way they are twisted didn't effect the length at all for me. I did, however, have to order more panels so they would gather properly. After I got the other panels in and hung I loved the way they looked! BTW, the instructions aren't very good on how to twist the top. There is a youtube video that illustrates it better than what is inside the package. Hope this helps!

      • A:

25" wide approximately after tied I bought 4 for my 100" window

      • A:

Thank you Stephanie and Tiffany for the quick response. It was very helpful. My window is 158 inches wide, i guess 8 panels would be good enough. I feel good on the lenght now. Thanks ladies.

      • A:

the length is good, but the width you'll need to buy 2 extra

      • A:

Love these curtains. Need to make sure you get extra length. I bought them for my dining room window which is a half round window. I didn't want the window to be completely covered so the two 50" panels were fine for me If you want complete coverage you will need extra panels.

    • Q:

"I'm trying to determine if the Dusty Aqua color will fit in with the color scheme of my bedroom... Has anyone purchased this color who can speak to it's trueness to the photo on the website? My main concern is if it's light enough. It's okay if the tone ranges from aqua (bluish) to mint (greenish) as long as it is a pale color. The name Dusty Aqua and the photo on the website connotes a pale greenish blue that is touched by a light grey undertone - is this accurate? Thanks for any help!"

      • A:

I purchased the dusty aqua and I love them. I would say they are definitely more pale blue than greenish. The color is naturally paler with the sun shining through them during the day, than they are at night; but either way, I would call it a light blue. They are true to the color I see on my ipad, but I know color can look different on different devices. I hope this helps.

    • Q:

"Is the bronze more gold or copper?"

      • A:

We purchased gray. And they were gray.

      • A:

They are definitely more gold than copper.

      • A:

I think they changed the Taupe to Bronz, I have the Toupe and it is more of a Gold color.

      • A:

The bronze is more on the copper/ rust side.

      • A:

Actually, disregard my answer above. I actually order the Spice color so I cannot comment on the Copper color, sorry.

      • A:

        More Gold than copper.

      • A:

it is more golden in color. i have beige carpet and it goes really well against it.

      • A:

I ordered the bronze and they are beautiful.....no copper tones at all.

      • A:

Where is the loose piece of fabric to tie the knot with?

      • A:

I purchased the teal, but I can say there's a shimmer to them. I'd guess more of a golden bronze.

      • A:

        More copper

"Are these curtains lined and do you have to tie the knots yourself?"

      • A:

Yes lined and yes you have to tie the knot real easy

      • A:

No, they aren't lined and yes you have to tie the knots yourself.

      • A:

oh, hi , Susan, yes you tie the knots, but, it is so easy! Takes just a couple of minutes. They hang lovely, Too !

      • A:

Yes - lined. And yes to tying - very easy to tie, though. They're quite lovely! I love them so much I've bought them in two different colors.

      • A:

Yes there is a very thin lining but these are not blackout shades. Yes you tie the knot yourself but the tabs are stitched to the curtain so you just pull through and it looks like a knot. Very simple to do.

      • A:

Yes, I was surprised! These are an awesome buy. Don't "over think" the knot.

      • A:

Yes, there is a thin white backing sown in. Yes, you do have to tie the knots in, however, they provided a sheet of directions, showing exactly how you do it. It wasn't hard at all. In fact, I kept the sheet in case I ever wanted to do that with other tab curtains. If you're on the fence about the curtains, let me just say how beautiful they are. Everyone who sees them, comments on how beautiful they are! I love them!!!

      • A:

Yes they are lined and you do tie the knots yourself

      • A:

Yes lined ditto answer my second pair I have purchased.

      • A:

I ordered the Ivory...I love them because, depending on your color scheme on walls and decor they can show as Ivory or Champagne.

      • A:

No, the ivory is a lighter color and the champagne is more of a light tan with a gold undertone

    • Q:

      "Is the pewter gray?"

      • A:

More of a taupe color than gray.

      • A:

It was a gray brown to me.

      • A:

I bought pewter. They are beautiful and the color shown is true to the color. They are not true grey or tan but rather a mix, in other words would either walls in your home. They seem to accent either way. I have both colors in my living room fireplace and they look awesome. I think of pewter would be a darker grey, but my walls are wheat color (mellow tan) and they look amazing. Couldn't bear happier.

      • A:

no a whole lot of difference in color between the pewter and the taupe. the pewter has a slight grey with golden shimmer to me. whereas the taupe is a beige with golden shimmer in it.

    • Q:

"Are these curtains sheer or do they provide privacy? I love them and want to put the white pair over my sliding glass door but hoping for some privacy."

      • A:

Hi Amber they are not sheer they provide privacy they have the top material then 1 or 2 pieces behind that. These curtains are beautiful I have the white in my living room, and they look great.

      • A:

They're beautiful and elegant, and they're lined with a cotton "sheer". I think you could possibly see shadows at night through them, but they're not sheer. If you're concerned about it, maybe just purchasing an extra panel to make sure they're not stretched too far should do the trick nicely.

      • A:

The curtains provide privacy - but please be warned that the "TWISTED TAB" is a pain to figure out how to correctly hang. We never could get it right.

      • A:

They provide absolute privacy. The lining is soft but light blocking.

"the width is 50" including the space between the two drapes or excluding?"

      • A:

        It's 50" including the space

      • A:

The description is accurate: "Single, wide width panel measures an ample 50 inches wide." One panel = 50". I just measured mine. It has nothing to do with any space, which would depend on the length of the rod and how far apart each panel is hung.

      • A:

The width is right at 50" total after the knots are "tied".

    • Q:

"If I'm looking for a brown what color would you suggest and does it block out light?"

      • A:

I am one who likes my drapes to blend more with my wall color and add pops of color with artwork and decor. Since I don't see a brown for you, it depends on your wall color. I probably would choose the Taupe. These drapes are not heavy and do not block light. They are not window covering just simple elegance ;-)

      • A:

I purchased these panels in white, very happy with them,....no they do not block out light.

      • A:

I too was looking for brown and bought taupe and am happy with the color. It is sort of a greyish brown but very pretty. They do not completely block light but they are lined and a dark color so that worked for me. Hope this helps.

      • A:

ERROR I'm sorry I was mistaken I ended up buying the pewter not the taupe because I read reviews that the taupe was too gold so mine are pewter and they turned out a grayish brown.

      • A:

Single, but t well worth the money!!

      • A:

Warning! It is just one! Found out the hard way. Somewhat deceptive and tacky way of doing it, in my opinion. Who uses one panel?? Make it a set with whatever price and if millions of people around the globe have one paneled windows, then make the one panel an option to choose, but that would be sensible.

      • A:

they are sold in pairs - so 2 panels

      • A:

        Just one panel per.

Mine are a pale seafoam green. No gray in them at all. They almost have a pearlescent shine in them. I don't think they are masculine at all.

      • A:

I bought spice, it is definitely not dark brown, more of a rust or burnt orange,,it's a very prety color and these curtains are beautiful and really nice quality. Definitely worth the price. Pewter should have silver tones. Spice would go with dark brown though.

"After reading the reviews I'm a bit concerned about the length I need to order. Also was originally going to order the Ivory and am now considering the spice. Has anyone ordered the spice and are you happy with the color? Thank you for your input."

      • A:

I have the Ivory, 84 inch height and i love them.

      • A:

I bought the white and am very happy with them. I had to hem one pair because I needed 63 inch and they didn't come in that length. The other pair that I bought I still had to hem it a hem length because I put it on french doors and it still hit the floor. I found the tabs difficult to do and I sew but once I did them they look beautiful and their is a nice shine to them. I was going to get the dusty aqua but I have dusty aqua sheers and I didn't know if they would go.

      • A:

Thank you for your help and will try the spice.

      • A:

When twisted as instructed they look great, but are about 3" too short. So I didn't twist them and after they were hung, I tied a small ribbon around the top of each to get the same effect. Worked great.

      • A:

        Thank you for the info

      • A:

You do not have to order a longer length to accommodate for the twist tabs at the top. The woman who said to order 6" longer was mistaken. See my earlier review with photo showing what happens when you take that woman's advice and order longer than needed.

"Is the Dusty Aqua a grayish teal color or a light blue or light green color? Is there a Pantone Matching System - PMS color equivalent that you can send me so I know what color the drapes are?"

      • A:

It certainly not Aqua, teal or light green it is a toss up medium green and maybe a army green has a nice shine to the material , I got them a while ago for winter will change in spring! I love the knots at the top, good price . Hope this helps.

      • A:

It's more of a Seafoam green color

      • A:

I think its more of a light green, and not Aqua. Aqua has traditionally been more blue than green.

      • A:

IT is a dark teal and I have them up with a sheer gray print and everybody compliments on them they look so good with my comfort set which is aqua, grey and teal pattern

      • A:

Mine are definitely a dusty Aqua. Very pretty.

      • A:

They look real close to as pictured. Very pretty. We have them in a bedroom with light grey walls and It's very attractive.

      • A:

i really have no idea i just purchased the Ivory ones and they are beautiful silky and soft

      • A:

Mine are a pale seafoam green. No blue or gray in them at all. They almost have a pearlescent shine in them. Just beautiful!

      • A:

Mine are true to the picture. I would say they are more a pale blue... like Robin's egg blue. Not much green to them, as you might expect aqua to be. I love them.

    • Q:

"When measuring do I measure from the top of the tab or from the rod?"

      • A:

The top of the fan sits right on the rod

      • A:

I hung my drapes over a patio door so I measured from the top of the rod to the floor. Since the drapes were shorter than the distance from the top of my rod to the floor, the rod had to be lowered. If the drapes are longer, then you would need to either raise up the rod or hem the drapes. Hope this helps!

      • A:

Since the top of the tab rests on the rod itself, measure from where you want the curtain to start. For example, do you want the top of the curtain an inch above the window or right at the top of the window. Then measure the length from there. My curtains are two inches above my slider and actually spread out in a fan on the floor.

      • A:

When placing the rod into the tab, the tab rests on the rod. So either way will give the same results

      • A:

        Top of curtain tab.

    • Q:

"I assume the 50" wide is measured on the bottom of panel. As shown in the picture how many inches does the top cover on the curtain rod ?"

      • A:

The top and bottom are the same width.

      • A:

The 50" measures the top/bottom of the panel. Each panel covers one side of the rod as shown in the picture. I initially ordered 2 panels but realized that I had nothing to cover the middle so I ordered 2 more. It did give it a fuller look but it was not to my liking. Consequently, I ordered a set of panel sheers to go behind the 2 panels and I like it SO much better. Hope this information is helpful.

      • A:

On mine 50x84 I have 4 panels and 4 sheers to cover about 100 inch window. 2 panels did not come close to covering the width. I measured it and with the tabs tied the panel is 25" wide at the top. The taupe with mist sheets looks awesome.

      • A:

When hanging the drapes as in the picture, you have to allow for the pleating look. The way mine are hung, each panel covers about 21 inches. The 2 panels cover a 36 inch window nicely.

      • A:

I have mine adjusted to 36" wide at the top and it still looks nice. You can pull or cinch the knots to what you like or need but not over 36"

      • A:

If you laid it flat the long way you will see it is completely even bottom to top on both sides, however, since the top is separated into pieces you can move the ends of the top wider if you so choose (if that is what you are asking).
