Lots of threads didn't seem to be properly secured/trimmed.
I ordered two each of the tier sets and valences. If it wouldn't have been a bigger headache for me (someone who can't drive), I probably would've returned them to order something higher quality even if it meant I needed to pay more. I likely wouldn't have bought them if I could have examined them in person. I don't know if the quality has gone downhill since others previously left reviews (always possible) or if previous reviewers just don't find my complaints problematic. I have yet to put up one valence, but for the tier sets and valence I have put up, they all had threads that needed secured: it seemed like things would start coming apart if those threads had been pulled slightly. Many of the threads were rather long, so even in the cases where they at least seemed secure, they still needed trimmed unless I wanted threads that were 1" or longer all over the curtains (not just along the edges). It took a while to examine each curtain and attempt to secure and trim multiple threads on each. I don't have high hopes that the second valence will be any different. I haven't washed them yet because I wanted the added privacy more immediately. I worry about how the embroidery stuff will hold up in the wash even in a laundry bag on a delicate cycle, especially because of how many long threads were from those parts of the curtains. The curtains from the tier sets also seem to be slightly mismatched in length for both sets. Since I bought two sets in the same color, I attempted to see if I could match them more appropriately, but it's not really looking like it helped much. It will probably bother me more than anyone else who sees them though. I wonder if washing them might help slightly since they're still a little wrinkly from the package.
