This shelf is cute as long as you don't look at top of the wood planks. The wood has a yellow staining on it that can be seen in the pics attached. I sent the pics to Overstock and said they wouldn't send me new wood pieces as this is just the variation of the wood. So if you prefer wood that doesn't have yellow staining on it, I wouldn't order this item. I decided to keep vs returning just due to the effort to return an item to Overstock and hoping that the items I put on the shelves, help cover it up.

Assembly needs improvement
Nice looking piece but the assembly requires the use of screws with plastic inserts and the plastic inserts are poorly made. Could not get them to work with the screws (includes one which broke) so I had to mount it without the screws instead which impacts how secure the shelf is. I think that for the price of the item, the assembly pieces should have been better quality.
