After waiting for the arrival of another piece of furniture, I finally assembled my new corner shelves. It's a solid heavy piece of furniture thats dark almost black looking piece which I like and was hoping for based on the reviews I read before my purchase. Although many recommend 2 people to assemble it, I managed putting it together by myself and also used an electric drill. (And I'm a 5'4 female:) They did fail to include assembly instructions in the box but it was pretty straight forth being there's only 9 pieces: 4 shelves, two sides and a top and bottom to assemble. Don't panic, the top of the bottom is a shelf making it 5 shelves:) They include a little tube of wood glue for the little shelf dowels in addition to the screws. All the predrilled holes lined up perfectly, no missing hardware (screws, wood pegs) so no issues with quality control. It was also very well packed for shipping, actually double boxed and arrived unscathed. The shelves are about 14 inches apart and plenty stable for whatever you choose to put on them. If you measure the bottom, it's about 18 inches out from the corner in each direction. Being it's a heavy and tall piece of furniture, I would strongly recommend you use the included wall anchor for safety. This would be a MUST if you have kids. Non negotiable. Would be senseless not to with any piece of furniture thats tall and heavy kids or not. It just makes sense. I drilled a few holes to run a few wires for my application (modem, router, phone base) but not a big deal. If you install this in a room where you can see down onto the top from a second floor you will have to stain the very top as it's not finished. That would be easy enough too. Its a nice looking piece of furniture too. Very happy with my purchase.
