  • Very comfy
    Verified Purchase

These pillows are extremely comfortable. They're off white and go very well with my black futon. You can remove the outside and throw them in the laundry which is obviously a huge benefit. Why I gave them a 4 instead of a 5 is because they do get black specks on them which are a pain to remove. Buy I do not regret this purchase I'm laying on one of them now and it is so comfortable.

Questions & Answers

  • Q:

"What do the characters on the pillow mean? In other words, what is the English translation?"

    • A:

Ogura Hyakunin Isshu (小倉百人一首?) is a classical Japanese anthology of one hundred Japanese waka by one hundred poets. Hyakunin isshu can be translated to "one hundred people, one poem [each]". Two examples are listed below amongst others. The spring has passed And the summer come again For the silk-white robes So they say, are spread to dry On the Mount of Heaven's perfume If the maple leaves On Ogura mountain Could only have hearts, They would longingly await The emperor's pilgrimage.
