I bought 6 of these for a new house. The main reason I bought them is because 1) they don't use remotes (I have 2 switches per fan to control light/fan off/on) 2) they use regular size bulbs 3) brown/aged bronze color and 4) price. I don't have a problem with lighting being too dark but I replaced the included CFL's with LED bulbs. I don't love the style of this fan but it's simple enough to not bother me much. I think I don't like the shape of the blades and the look of the metal blade arm/attachments. Also, the motor part of the fan is a just a little on the small side. But, there aren't many Hunter models that have the combination of features I wanted so these overall were the best choice for me. I bought these a year ago and may or may not have a problem with on the light kits (teenager says it doesn't always work but every time I check it, it works). I've had a lot of Hunter fans with no problems (except when a particularly rough teenager is involved) so I try to stick with the brand.
i just had my kitchen renovated and needed a ceiling fixture. This is a perfect piece. Everyone comes into the kitchen loves the sconce in the ceiling. I had the lighting fixture installed on a dimmer switch and it is fabulous.
I hate to leave an average review but this item is pictured as a "chain pull" for a ceiling fan. It is listed as an on/off switch. I took a chance because I liked the picture of the pull but it was not. So, if you purchase this item...know that it will probably be an on/off switch for a ceiling fan.
This was exactly what I was looking for! The light is a lot brighter than I thought it would be which is fine since the lighting in our living room leaves a lot to be desired. It has a handy on/off switch near the head so there’s no feeling for a cord to turn a switch or fumbling at the base to,operate it. Very sleek & fits nicely behind the sofa creating overhead lighting. Definitely would purchSe again!
