The AirDream air mattress is very comfortable and is even good for everyday use, unlike most sofa bed mattresses. Overstock's price is great and gets better if you can combine it with a coupon and free shipping, although the shipping cost is always really cheap anyway. I believe the dimensions of the full mattress should be 52 x 72, not 54 x 72 and the queen is 60 x 72 (at one time this ad said 60 x 80 and I couldn't convince overstock it was wrong, but at some point it got corrected). Check out airdream.net for size info and cost comparison. Another thing, this ad says there is a 5-year limited manufacturer's warranty, but Legett and Platt that makes the mattress has a 3-year limited warranty normally, so just beware but don't let that stop you from buying it. AirDream.net says, "The mattress, air chamber and air chamber valve are covered for a three year period and the inflator for a one year period starting from the date originally purchased." Finally, when putting the bed away, make sure the mattress is centered over the sofa bed frame and not slightly hanging over the thick parts of the frame at the sides. The reason is that the air bladder can get pinched by the thick parts of the frame and could lead to leaks, primarily on the sides of the air bladder. They don't mention this in any documentation, but a Legett and Platt employee told me that when I was talking about leaks I was getting on the one I replaced with my purchase here. It does come with a repair kit if it springs a leak, but avoiding leaks of course is your best option. Enjoy your sleep!

I live in NYC and live in a great but small 2 room studio. I bought the couch of my dreams 2 years ago, but the mattress was awful. It lasted for only one year and it was a year of back aches. Being that it is a studio, I sleep on the pull out every night. I ordered this mattress on Thursday night and had it by Tuesday mid day. I was worried about the inflatable part, but what it does is collapses. The mattress without inflation is the same size as the mattress I used to have. When you easily inflate the top, you end up with a REGULAR mattress...not a thin pull out. In the morning I wake up and open the valve. It deflates while I brush my teeth and then I put it away before jumping in the shower....SOOOO easy....as easy as having one that doesn't inflate. Not to mention that the couch itself is so much more full and comfortable. I worried that this wouldn't fit MY couch, but I realized that these sizes are all pretty standard. GET one of these. Heck you can even buy one if you don't have sofa-bed. It would be great on a platform bed as well.....and a great price. Thanks Overstock!!! Matt in NYC :)

The reason for the three stars is only due to the fact that Overstock says the mattress is 54 inches wide and it is indeed not. I thought it looked small when it arrived so I measured it and it was only 52 inches. I did some further research and found the measurements on AirDream's website and it says that it is only 52 inches wide. Now that that's out of the way we love the mattress. I bought it for our sleeper sofa in our motorhome and I think is going to be enjoyed for years to come. Our son has slept on it and we have layed on it just to try it out, comfy if I do say so myself. Happy we bought this mattress but wish it was the two inches bigger. If you are like me, every extra inch counts.

I also live in a small nyc studio and had a typically terrible sofabed mattress. The Air Dream was a wonderful change. Comfortable, and easy to use. Why not a better rating? Well, it just doesn't last. First the mattress developed an unfixable leak. Great customer service got me a new one pronto. Another few months and the pump overheated and died. Again, replaced promptly with great customer service. Finally this morning, the valve cracked and luckily they will replace this too. So far, for me, it has been worth the aggravation because it is so good when all is well. Still, keep this in mind when ordering.

Was using a full air bed and was sore every day. Due to all the reviews and my own experience with one of the air dream mattresses at someone else's house, I decided to buy one if I could find a good price. Found the lowest price here on Overstock.com and we are enjoying the air dream alot. It stays in the blown up mode on our full size bed in the mountains. It has a cover just like a normal mattress and is easy to make up. The combination of coils and air bed gives the bed a good feel of stability when you are lying on it. Going to sleep on it is easy and it is the best sleep we have had in 10 years up there.

We bought our sofa sleeper due to living in a studio in Boston and space being at a premium. We opted for the more expensive "memory foam" upgrade. It was not terrible but was not comfortable enough to use everyday. We then tried everything to make it work. more blankets more foam, mattress pads etc... we spent hundreds of dollars and almost gave up on the sleeper sofa idea. Then I saw this AirDream we thought we would try one last thing. I must say, it's well worth the money. We use this as our primary bed and it works VERY well. We have had it about one month now, we pull it out, inflate it sleep then deflate and put back to a sofa everyday and it's effortless. So comfortable. We kinda wish each side had it's own chamber since my partner likes it firm and I like it a little more plush, but we have made it work.....

Good mattress. Unfortunately it did not fit my RV couch. About 1/2 inch too wide.

This mattress is the same as is we got in another Lazy Boy sofa, and less than half what we were quoted at the store for a this type mattress. We have slept one like this on our sofa sleeper, and are replacing a standard one on different sofa sleeper. It is comfortable, nothing like you expect on a sofa sleeper. If you are in the market for a replacement sofa sleeper mattress, this one is definitely worth the extra cost. It comes with the air pump and inflates and is ready to use very quickly. Shipping was very fast.

None of my guests wanted to use my sofa bed mattress in my guest room, so I started reading the reviews on Overstock about this mattress. All my guests really preferred the blow up mattress's I'd had to go and get to make people comfortable, so this sounded like a really good idea. Long story short, it really is just the thing I needed. ( and they needed!) This mattress fits my sofa couch perfectly and though I've only had one guest, he said it was just wonderful. This way the guest can sleep on the the actual fold out, and have lots more space in the room, and a night off the floor instead of taking up even more space in the guest room and having to haul yourself up off the floor each morning. I tested it out myself and was very comfortable, and I like a firm mattress. It deflates very easily and having read the reviews I was careful when I folded it up, but it didn't seem to catch in any part of the frame. I use a thick and substantial mattress pad on this mattress, and the combination of firm and soft seemed to work out very nicely for my guest. When more people have used it I'll have a better idea, but I must say that at this time I am completely satisfied with this air mattress. People can adjust the air to whatever firmness they want, and that makes me feel much more hospitable. A happy guest is a person that will come back to visit!

This mattress feels like a real mattress. We purchased this for our sleeper sofa to replace the 4 inch foam wanna-be mattress that felt like you were sleeping on sticks. Everyone that has used it has sung its praises. We had purchased one years earlier for our RV sleeper sofa. Very, very comfortable. That is why we purchased another when we got our sleeper sofa for our home. The BEST air mattress ever!!!

Absolutely the best and super comfortable, fits the double sleeper sofa perfectly. It is comparable to the Select Comfort mattress in the bedroom. It is easy to inflate and easy to release air to get the firmness level you want. It takes less than a min. to inflate and deflates just as fast. Mattress folds easily into the sofa when sleep time is over. I leave the mattress pad and sheets on mine when I close it up, just read the instructions with it and make sure you don't pinch the mattress into any of the moving parts, you might get a hole. I've slept on this mattress every night since Dec. 5, 2017 and have not a single complaint nor do I expect to have any. The cover is large for the mattress but doesn't cause any issues. The dimensions in the listing are not correct but just go to Air Dream's website and get the true sizes. I am a real air mattress fan and wouldn't have any other type. Just mark me a very happy sleeper.

Bought this for our downstairs sofabed for elderly parents who could not longer go upstairs to sleep when they visit. It was SO amazing that we moved it to our RV (NOTE: the shorter sofa bed length is perfect for a queen RV bed!!). In the RV we have this mattress now with a 2 inch memory foam topper (that we already had). Its the most amazing night sleep...we now prefer sleeping in the RV to our own new memory foam bed at home! I have osteoarthristis in my hips, and the pressure points had gotten so bad in the mornings that we switched to the memory foam/gel mattress...but then I was too hot at night! The AIRDREAM with just a topper is so much cooler. I will be purchasing another for the sofabed and one or two more to replace our other mattresses if I can get in a full 80" length THANK YOU OVERSTOCK!

I ordered this product as a "gift" for my parents. They had a sofa bed that was 35 years old and it was a painful night's sleep (if you can call it sleep). I did some research on replacing the mattress for them (well, really for my husband and I!) and we decided to give this one a try. I'm not a big fan of sleeping on air mattresses, but this is a great sofa bed mattress and a fantastic price to boot! I sleep very well on this during my last visit to my parents' house and will now be much more comfortable there when we visit (and more well rested!). The air mattress is wrapped in a mattress type casing so it doesn't "feel" like an air mattress would feel. It offers great support and it's so thick that you would never feel the bars on the sofa (which is the general complaint about sofa beds). My parents have another sofa bed in their house and I've already recommended them buy the same mattress for it, as well. If you have to sleep on a sofa bed, I'm pretty sure you couldn't do much better than this one.

I purchased this mattress after a friend recommended it to me and reading the reviews that were available on the Overstock.com website. Since I often have relatives that come to visit me from different all over the world, I like to provide comfortable sleeping quarters. I hate when I hear that they've woken up with backaches and pains. This morning, my mother just left to return to Japan after spending a week sleeping on the AirDream Mattress and her exact words were, "That mattress was a great investment and is worth every single penny." She spent three nights sharing the mattress with my sister and it was hard to wake my sister up every morning to get out of bed. It was so quick and easy to inflate as well as deflate the mattress each day which was awesome! It literally took between 1-2 minutes and I might be exaggerating that time. When it was inflated, it was approximately the same size as the queen size mattress in my bedroom. I am looking forward to having a movie night in my livingroom just so I can have great dreams on my AirDream Mattress.

I have to tell you, this is THE BEST sofa mattress ever! We leave it out as a normal bed in our guest room. It looks and feels like a regular mattress! I end up sleeping on this almost every night ...(husband snores) I love it, our guest can't believe it is a sofa bed mattress! with the double design structure of a coiled mattress and an air mattress....Brilliant! You can adjust the comfort level to your needs! Comes with its own air compressor, has a really nice zipped mattress liner. It's very sturdy, not flimsy at all. The air stays without leaking like most air mattresses do. I wouldn't even categorize this as an "air mattress" It is a unique design that works amazing for me. I'd buy them in twin sizes if it came in twin sizes for my sons bunkbeds. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

After 2 years of sleeping daily on a 'regular' sofa bed mattress, I found the Air Dream mattress. WOW! I am a big guy (6ft plus) and over 250lbs and sleep nightly on a sofa bed. I needed something that lifted me up from the supporting mechanism of the sofa bed. I've found it! after weeks of sleeping on the Air Dream I can say that it was a Dream come true!
