With my tight budget I didn't get what I expected for my money. A new furniture damage is not what i call good service, but after returning once the package and waiting 20 days total + wasting 2 full days because UPS does not give you accurate time frame for delivery I just kept it. Recommendation is 1st to use Fed-Ex who's more efficient (at least in my neighborhood)

While most people may be looking at this to hold a television and other media, I had other needs. After years of running someone's business from a dedicated office in my home, I slowly found my living room morphing into office space once my husband died. The old and stained ginormous 9' couch was the first to go, replaced by my excellent office chair...freeing up 7' of space, yet, leaving me with a gerry-rigged side table which fast became an over-flowing depository for phones, wires, books and such...useful to a point, yet, not at all aesthetically pleasing. For the past year I had begun to envision what a hidden office might look like. I knew my needs...I just had to find the right piece of furniture to help turn my space back into a living room. So I came to Overstock.com for solutions. This table is a perfect fit! It has all of six pieces, which ingeniously 'slip' together without any tools. Although the intact box is quite heavy, once the box is open the individual pieces are so easy to handle, the assembly time is under 5 minutes! No kidding. Once it's together, you quickly realize all the perks is has, such as multiple (and, stylish) openings for wires, with side-wing shelves to hold whatever your heart desires in a very fashionable , er, fashion. Even though it has three large shelf surfaces, the space under the bottom shelf is a bit over 4" high. This is where I place my laptop when not in use, while next to it there's room enough for at least a 14" x 20" basket which I have no trouble pulling out as needed. No wasted space here! Now, for the measurements some people might be curious about. The stand is not a pure rectangular shape, as the sides and front have a very slight eye-appealing curve. There are openings in both the rear and sides for easy wire placement. In fact, the ones for the side openings are open midway, easily allowing speakers to be placed on the side shelves, with wires pretty much hidden. Another nice feature is that the shelf risers do not extend all the way to the front (approx 2" recessed), making the unit a bit oriental-looking in effect. The usable depth front to back is almost 18 1/2" in the middle of the shelves, and just over 18" at the ends. The height between the shelves is just under 81/4". The middle section measures 24" wide. The side shelves extend from just under 6" to just over 6" wide, due to that curve I mentioned. The lighter surface looks like a stainless steel finish, but is not super shiny. It is most similar to the quality of laminate you'd find if selecting a counter-top for your kitchen. All in all, I am ecstatic to have made the right choice for my needs. Since I love the look of marble, I have surfaced the top with cheap dollar store green marble floor tiles. The effect is actually very cool. Mine sits in the corner to my left hand, having replaced my old side table contraption. The space under the side shelf against the back wall perfectly hides the power strip which all my office electronics are plugged into. The side shelf directly above allows me to attractively stash this large hand-held back massaging device I find myself needing to use often --right 'at my fingertips', plugged in and ready, with no more unsightly wires in the floor. Whatever your need, this media stand is an affordable, extremely sturdy, and cleverly designed piece of furniture. It does not budge, even if you try to force it; there is absolutely no wobble. You won't be disappointed! ============ I would do a review for the equaling amazing wooden cabinet I purchased for the space to my right, yet, as it's no longer for sale here, I can't link to it. FINALLY, my unconventional living room is both functional and stylish, with nary a clue to what's actually hidden at my fingertips!

Legare Furniture is the easiest furniture to put together! Well worth the price when you can get it for a discount on Overstock.com. I first bought a cheaper TV stand from Target, but after I spent two hours putting it together, it didn't seem sturdy enough to actually hold a TV, so I bought this one as well. So much better! A snap to put together, and seems far sturdier. My only complaint is that the shelves aren't tall enough to hold VHS tapes with the plastic covers, but DVDs fit just fine.
