  • My dining area looks fabulous
    Verified Purchase

I looked at hundreds of tables before I selected this one. It is fabulous, however you need 3 or 4 strong people to wrestle it out of it's crate and put it together or don't even think about buying one. The trucker was kind enough to prop it against the side of the house until I could get help. I expected a 1/2" thick glass top but a 3/4" arrived instead. The delivery person said it weighed 300 lb. The aluminum base is a bit light weight for the added glass weight and am a little nervous about it. The holes on the base (which is simple to put together) did not line up well and there were some metal shards on the inside of the hole preventing the 2 parts from sliding together. I used a metal file to remove some and a very strong person shoved the 2 parts together. The painted finish is not perfect but isn't noticeable.

  • Disappointing
    Verified Purchase

Let me just say that this was quite possibly one of the most disappointing purchases I have made on this website. I was extremely excited when I was able to finally place an order for this table (it seems to sell out quickly) and I had the perfect place for it. The first debacle, as it turns out, was the shipping. It was shipped via a freight carrier that was not skilled at handling residential orders. When shipping was scheduled, it arrived at my house with 1 man. Please keep in mind that the glass for the table weighs about 250 or so pounds. He told me that I would have to find a way to get it off the back of the semi myself. Luckily, he caved and we manipulated it off the back of the semi with a dolly (barely) and I got my work dress shirt and slacks dirty. Then came the most disappointing part. I opened it. The legs and the center beam look to have been painted and immediately wrapped in a foam bubble material because it had adhered to the metal! So there are these spots in the paint that are textured and absolutely visible. Not just in a small part but almost the entire frame. The holes in the frame don't align. There are supposed the be four screws, however, only two would fit; one in a hole at either end of the beam. So we ended up having to epoxy it to together, and pray that it holds the heavy glass. Then there's the glass. There were boot prints on it! And it was scratched and appears to have been taped at some point because there was tape residue everywhere. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with this item and urge you not to purchase it. The only reason it hasn't been returned is because shipping would be an absolute nightmare! It'd be akin to putting toothpaste back into the tube. Le corbusier is turning in his grave right now.
