    Purchased this bed online around cyber Monday. There eerent many reviews, but It appeared very beautiful in the pictures. After 3 no call/ no show delivery failures, I received it 27 days later broken and with overall poor manufacturing quality. I am trying not to base my review of the product on the extremely poor experience I had with the delivery of it, and have been trying to keep in mind the holidays. Here is an account of the experience. Delivery was quite a challenge. We did try to patiently keep in mind that though the product was supposed to arrive on the 14th of December, it was very near the holiday season and that may stall things.The company that delivery was outsourced to was difficult to contact and tracking info was not accurate a lot of times. I was given 3 different delivery appointment times over the course of a 3 week period. Each time, as someone must be available to sign and receive the packages, we waited at home from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., but the delivery was no show and no call and no contact. Each Time I struggled to reach anyone with any information about where the package was or what eould happen next. 3 days after the 1st failed delivery I was able to contact a customer service rep for the shipping company and they rescheduled for the following week. That delivery was also a no call in no show after waiting for the entire day. A day or two after the 2nd no show delivery appointment, I recieved a TEXT MESSAGE from a random local number asking if they could bring the packages by the next morning. So I agreed and the next day I waited until 5pm and it was a 3rd no call/ no show....After speaking with Overstock customer several times as well as the shipping company I had decided that I just wanted to have my money refunded due to not receiving the item. I was told by a customer rep that they would forward the message to the oversized shipping department and to just wait and see of the item shows up and if not call back. I was again getting very frustrated that that was the only option offered. To sit and wait to see if it shows up, and then wait a couple days until someone contacts me. The oversized shipping department at overstock has no direct number, no way to directly contact a representative or manager, is only open Monday through Friday, was Bacolod through December, and text several days to respond at all. The only response I received was an email that, in essence, told me to check the tracking number on the shipping company's website. Of course I had already done that several times over the course of the 3 weeks and fell again a little disappointed that this was my only advice, recourse or help in the matter. ( The email said that if I had any other questions I could reply and ask them but there was no response to my reply.) The delivery was supposed to arrive sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. At 2pm I called Overstock and they suggested to wait and see what happens until 5 and call back. By 5:00 p.m. I hadn't heard from anyone. That was failed attempt number 3. I call back to another Overstock customer service rep and I was empatheticly told that they would send a message to the shippimg department to put in a request to begin processing a refund and that they would call in a day or two. :( After this I called the shipping company once more. Someone from dispatch, who was very kind, was unable to locate the package at all stating that it was not on their docks/lost. They were friendly and sorry and said that the best action for me to do would be to contact over stock so that they could settle up with shipping company and myself about a refund. An hour later, I recieved a call from a local number and a driver in formed me that they would be on their way and 30 minutes with the package. Go figure, but glad we were home. We just finally wanted our bed!!! At 8pm they arrived with the package. They were very efficient and polite and even went extra mile to bring the boxes into our bedroom ( a short distance from the front door). Because it was so dark outside at now well after dark, I inspected one package (which ended up being the headboard box) that was open and untaped outside in the driveway,. It appeared undamaged so we brought everything in the house and I signed for it. Once I begin to open/unpack the multiple boxes it was apparent that a leg of the footboard was completely snapped off in an otherwise normally packaged box that hadn't had any obvious signs of damage on our brief inspection. We tried to see if we could figure out how to assemble it anyhow, but the parts that connect the solid wood legs in the footboard are made of plywood and what looked to have been previously glued on by the manufacturer had already snapped and disintegrated. So there was no way to insert they connection back in to the footboard in a flush to the surface manner. On several different pieces of the legs and posts there were also deep red paint scratches on them. Very large "Made in Taiwan" stickers on several outer parts of the bed were difficult to peel off without leaving paper/glue behind. Overstock customer service representatives were always polite, empathetic, and kind, but the oversize shipping department does not have its own direct phone number and it takes several days if you hear back at all from them. During this experience the one time that I was given a reply from shipping it was through email and I have not heard anything back and reply for a few days now. Again I was trying to be patient on my end due to it being a December delivery.The company that shipping was outsourced to was very difficult to get in contact with and did not have accurate and formation, and were unreliable for appointments during this delivery. It has been of extremely frustrating experience only to end with a broken bed of quality does that does not leave me feeling very confident. When making this purchase I tried to do my research and buy a bed that was a very good quality for our home that would be a long lasting piece. I'm very disappointed and I feel as if returning it or refunding it would probably take weeks at a time. In that way we are very frustrated and feel trapped with this purchase. We will be extremely unlikely to purchase any more oversize items from Overstock ever again, and are very weary on the idea of ordering something like this online ever again.
