Ok so I've only had this mattress for about 2 weeks now but let me tell you. It came in a huge box(the maintenance guy actually carried it for me), got it inside and opened it to a well vaccumed foam matters. Dragged it into my room and used the cleverly included letter opener as to safely cut away the plastic. Unrolled and let it sit out(there was no foul smell thank the Lord) within about an hour it was fully erect to the full 10 inches on all sides. I sprayed mines with febreeze again not because of any smell but who doesn't like the smell of febreeze!!! Anywho to the real reason for this review, I replaced my old mattress due to it giving me some serious hip and back pain. I've had that mattress for 3 years and this was the mattress I had while pregnant. It was a nightmare! The worst back and hip pains, I thought it was because i was pregnant with a very big baby but even afterwards the pain continued. I researched for months and decided to purchase this one. The first night was ok i initially thought it was too firm but that wasnt the case, it has great support and i didn't wake with any pain although it was a bit uncomfortable honestly because for so long I always woke in pain. But by the end of the first week I was sleeping like a baby. Truly the mattress is amazing and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. 2 weeks now i still get a good night's sleep and wake well rested and pain free. Ok I know that this review was lengthy and a bit all over but all in all great buy and definitely will purchase another for my second bedroom. Hope this helps you in your search

great mattress for the price! our guests love sleeping on this bed. very comfortable! We also have an 8 inch memory foam mattress, the 10 inch is much better and gives more support

The only problem I had with the Lucid 10-inch Queen is that it didn't quite make it to 10 inches only 8 inches. But it sleeps great and the price was terrific! Thank you Overstock.

Pretty comfortable and great quality for this LUCID 10 inch surecool gel memory foam mattress. It has just the right about of firmness and softness for my back.

Loved the bed is very comfortable, but gave it a 3 because I followed the instructions specifically, they said to let it lay on a flat surface for 48 hours, and I actually did it for 56 hours and i'm missing a whole inch, I bought a 10 inch and this came up to be like a 9 inch, so I recommend people to buy the 12 inch if you are looking for a 10 inch better more than less.

I ordered the lucid 10 inch king gel mattress, I opened box unrolled mattress and let set for 48 hours, it expanded to 10 inches and is the most comfortable mattress I have ever purchased. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great night sleep.

Love this mattress! It’s my first time using a this type of mattress and I’m pretty impressed. It is very comfortable and i haven’t been tossing and turning like i did with my old mattress. In hindsight I wish I would have opted for a 12 inch, but the 10 inch is definitely sufficient. In time, I will buy the 12 inch mattress and put the 10 inch on the guest bed.

This is a great mattress. It came very quickly and we followed the directions (waited 48 hours after unpacking to use). The mattress inflated quickly as did not have a bad smell that we have come to expect from other memory foam mattresses we have used in the past. The mattress is firm, but very comfortable. I love the soft gel layer that makes the mattress soft for the top couple inches then the foam underneath is firm to give the support that we need. I have purchased other items from this brand and it is quickly becoming my favorite bedding brand. I would highly recommend this mattress to anyone that is looking for a memory foam mattress.

Comfortable and delivered quickly. Memory foam mattresses come in different depths, and although this one is only 10 inches and not as good as a 14 inch mattress, for the price it was worth it.

I bought this twin XL mattress to go on a 16 inch metal platform bed and it’s perfect. It took a few hours to fully unfold to about 9 inches. It is definitely a firm mattress but the gel foam makes it feel nice and cozy.

Best night’s sleep in a long time. It took awhile to poof up, and the corners are not all the way expanded. I got the 10inch. Wish I had gotten the 12inch. But the cooling gel memory foam keeps me from overheating while I sleep.

I bought this for my teenage son. It is very comfortable. He loves it. I bought a full platform bed for it. It did not smell when I got it out of the box. Very easy to set up. I hope he will have it for a long time. The full size is just right for him...although it seems larger than a full. I also purchased a 12 inch queen for me but really can't tell the difference between the 10 and 12 inch.

I love it! It is every bit as firm and comfortable as the Tempurpedic mattress for which I paid 12X more!

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like a gel mattress. This is the first time that I have ever bought, used, or slept on a gel mattress. I like it, but I do not love it. Pro's: No smell out of the package! It keeps me cool. It was easy to unwrap and place on my bed. It arrived in the mail in a compact wrapped-up state. This mattress is true to size. It is a twin mattress. Con's: I feel like my body sinks too deep in the memory foam when I lay down, which is odd to me. Sometimes, it is difficult to get out of bed, because the end/side of the bed is soft memory foam and gel, causing me sink into it. If you have issues standing up from a seated position, this may complicate things for you. This mattress is heavier than I thought it would be. Overall,it is a good mattress, not great, but it is good. I am not sure I would purchase it again, because I am not a fan of memory foam. If you like memory foam, you will like this mattress. I purchased the 10 inch thickness mattress. I would not purchase any thickness bigger than 10 inches. It works just fine!

Purchased this Lucid Comfort Collection 10-inch Twin-size Gel Memory Foam mattress for a friend who gave it to her daughter as a gift. They both liked its comfort so well that "mom" got the queen size gel memory foam mattress for herself.

This mattress has instantly improved my life. I was using an old spring mattress, which I decided to get rid of when I moved into a new house. Before my closing, I toured the local furniture and mattress stores to try things out and see what I would like to buy. The best price I found locally for a decent mattress, box spring, and basic metal bed frame, was about $650. So I decided to try out one of these boxed and shipped mattresses based on the number of good reviews I saw, and I have been so happy with my decision. First, the price is excellent. Initially, that made me skeptical because the most basic mattress I liked in the store cost twice as much as this one. But this one is even more comfortable than the one I was going to buy from the store. And with the money I saved on the mattress, I was able to buy the Priage Antique Espresso bed, which looks a lot better than the simple metal frame I would have gotten from the store. Ultimately, for this mattress and a nice bed, I paid about $430, saving around $220 and coming away with something much better than what I would have gotten from the local retailer. One of the major concerns I had when buying a memory foam mattress in general--and especially one that I would have to purchase without trying--was that all the ones I had tested in a store were way too soft for me. I like a relatively firm, supportive mattress, and I had not found a single memory foam mattress that felt comfortable to me. When I ordered this one, I expected it to be softer than I would initially like, and I just figured I would probably be able to get used to it. I was pleased, however, to find that this mattress is quite firm, and was immediately comfortable to sleep on. I usually fall asleep on my side and wake up on my back, and I have found this mattress comfortable in both positions. I should add that I am a 190 lb. male, and this mattress still feels firm under my weight. One complaint that I have seen in reviews of this mattress and other memory foam mattresses is that they stink. When I opened this mattress and left it out to inflate, it did initially have a synthetic sort of odor to it, although it wasn't strong at all, and I am known for my sensitive nose. Memory foam does outgas when it is first removed from its packaging, and this mattress was no exception. But it needs to be left for a couple days to fully inflate anyway, so I just left the mattress alone for 48+ hours, and by the time I put sheets on it and slept on it for the first night, I couldn't smell anything. I would recommend this mattress to anyone who likes a firm mattress. And given the low price, I would even recommend it to someone who is unsure about memory foam mattresses and wants to try one out.
