  • Handle gets hot
    Verified Purchase

Everything in the description was accurate, but the handle gets hot when used. It's also difficult to close the spout after pouring the water. It just stays open.

Really like the shape of the teak kettle, it's sturdiness, ease of filling, comfort of covered handle. Water heats quickly and the whistle is loud enough. The trigger to open the spout is a little awkward -- with my small hands, I can't hold the handle and reach to flip the spout open. I have top open the spout first and then pick up the kettle by the handle to pour. Also, the spout cover doesn't lift quite far enough off the spout so you have to tilt the kettle a lot to empty it. But, all in all even with these design shortfalls, I am pleased with the kettle.

  • KitchenAid teakettle

I ordered this teakettle in warm berry and I love it. The whistle is loud enough for me to hear from another room. The handle is great and never gets hot.I use it every day and have had no problems. I love KitchenAid products and this one lives up to the KitchenAid name.

Looks great however, the whistle can only be heard if your standing next to the stove. Maybe this one is just broken.
