Fits a couple of bags of bread or bagels, english muffins...etc. I had a little bit more bread than fits in the box. I found out I had a mouse. There was a big hole chewed in the extra bread bag I had. Glad I had this breadbox. It looks nice too, just in case that's important to you :)
We've been using this trash can for about 2 years now. We needed a kitchen trash can for compost and the automatic lid opening was important. It opens automatically when the sensor is activated on the front of the can. You can switch the sensor off, forcing the lid to stay open, when you need to put a lot of scrap into the can at once, such as salad scraps, potato peels, etc. It is a just the right size to be unobtrusive in the kitchen.
While I'm not a fan of cheap imports from BRIC nations, I still find this set of canisters quite versatile and useful in the kitchen, or wherever. They need to be handwashed as they probably aren't dishwasher safe, but great for storing the usuals - Salt, Sugar, Coffee...etc.
