Bought this sink to replace a builder two bowl 33' X 22" sink, and had to return it because the bowl sides are straight and the deck is smaller than the existing one, so this sink would not fit in the same space. It's a shame because the sink is HUGE and gorgeous, but I bought a 25" X 22" in the same style, so all ends well.
This sink is perfect. Just what I was looking for. After my husband trimmed the existing hole from our old sink this one fit perfectly. The only con for this sink is the type of clips that comes with it.
When my wife does dishes she sounds like a tank column driving over a steel building. I had to stay within a very restrictive budget, but what really got me excited, was that even the lowest priced Houzer steel sinks come with sound proofing. Now I can hear the TV while she does dishes. And while I was at it I bought a new top of the line Badger garbage disposal that's so quiet, I can barely hear it grind stuff in the living room. This sink has a pretty sheen to it and just looks good. It's got some nickel in the stainless steel finish and the underside has both noise dampening and some condensation retarding finish that will serve to resist rust, as will the nickel. We were worried about the awkward looking 60/40 split, but now that we have it, we wouldn't want it any other the way. The tubs are deeper than they seem. Be sure to find the racks and special plugs that you can pay extra for, you might want them. I wanted a 1 hole sink (one faucet hole), but in the lower price ranges there were only 3 hole sinks with faucets that have a plate that covers the holes. This was the only true one hole sink I could find, except one other that cost more and had no sound proofing, no rust protection, no nickel in the finish, etc. I looked at hundreds of stainless steel sinks. This Houzer Glowstone was a good quality sink for a steel. You'll be happy with it. In fact, I did so much research, spent so much time read so much stuff, looked at so many sinks, and called to talk to so many factories that I'm sure this sink MUST be the most for your money in its price arena, and for all it gives you, any higher priced sink is just a rip off. Buy this sink and be super happy tickled pink. Oh, one thing. This is a standard size 22"x33" drop in sink. Drop in sinks like this cover that much space on top of the counter, but they actually fit into a somewhat smaller hole. This one takes the majority of the space up for the hole, so we had to cut our hole about a quarter inch bigger. No big deal, just be prepared for that in case it is needed. I have a broken back, so I couldn't do the job myself, even though it was very easy. So when the sink wouldn't fit, I had to send the plumber home for the day, call a handy man to cut the hole, and have the plumber come finish the job the next day. Also, there are some mounting clips that go on the underside of the sink, so you need to make certain you have 2" extra space underneath your countertop from the ends of the sink to each cupboard wall.
This was the first time I used is. But I was amazed how easy it was to order my stainless steel sink. Their was no delays. Open it up and it was packaged great. I want a deep single sink so I can get big pots and bowls in. Also its, great for straining. I also wanted a soap dispenser. And I use that all the time. Pump works nice.
