Nice enough knives for JA Henckels but these are not the true Zwillings knives from JA Henckels. They are much pricier, made in Germany, and of a higher quality. I did a lot of research on this on the Zwillings website. However, I am very happy with these knives and the price I paid for them because I knew what I was buying. These were made in China. I think Overstock needs to be more honest in their advertizing of this product. When in doubt, check the box.
I bought this set about 3 weeks ago for my mother-in-law as a birthday gift. I read other reviews on this knife set, and for the price, it certainly sounded like a good buy. So far, she seems very happy with it. I have seen it in person, and must say it's a very nice looking set. J.A. Henckel is generally an expensive brand, so to get a good set of knives from them for under $100 seemed like an obvious choice. Based on first impressions, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a good knife set for under $****. Compared to the other options in the same category in the same price range, J.A. Henckel is a much better quality product for the price, hands down.
Knives are sharp but very light. These are unlike other Henckels I used in a restaurant setting. Do not appear to be the same quality either as the handles are rubbery and the steel is very light. They have cut well thus far.
