The Island arrived 2 days early. The box had a couple of dings in it but the contents were fine. Let me first say that I have assembled literally 100's of pieces of furniture. I used to do it professionally. Another warning. Instructions say not to use power tools to assemble cart. If you have no real experience using power screw drivers, don't use one. Like I said, I do have tons of experience so I used a Ryobi power driver with torque adjustment. Set it at the lowest torque and adjusted when necessary. Final tightening with a phillips screwdriver. If this doesn't mean anything to you, don't use power. I first laid out all the pieces and checked them against the Parts list. That includes counting screws, etc. Always do this so you know you are starting with all the parts required. There were a few things that slowed me down a bit. A couple of instructions and pics weren't clear about orientation of the piece in question. A simple one was which way a magnet catch faced so I installed it after the doors went on. No problem. Another was a top front support piece. There are 2 holes that need to be to the right of center facing down. Its not real clear. Go slow. The assembly was straight forward and I had only one glitch. The dowel holes on and end panel were drilled too deep. The dowels barely stuck out of the hole. I used some plastic bag to fill the hole a bit so half the dowel now stuck out. A quick fix. All holes lined up, Hinges were pre-installed. Drawer slides were pre-installed. Always be careful in moving the assembly during assembly. You can break it until its finished. Time form opening box to rolling into the kitchen was 2 hr 15 min. I wasn't hurrying and like I said a couple of things slowed me down. Have fun!
