We've had this bunk bed for awhile now. It's nice and sturdy, but if we had the chance to return it we would. 1. It was hard to assemble because not all parts were labeled clearly and we ended up with the ladder on the wrong side, so we had to drill our own hole to attach it. It was not fun. 2. There is not any room for a parent to sit when tucking your child into bed or trying to read them a bedtime story. They made the room between top and bottom bunk too small (maybe it has to be this way). 3. The ladder is hard for my kids to climb for some reason. I should have opted for stairs. All that being said, my kids still are happy with them. My main reason for not liking this item is point #2.
Delivered quicker then I expected, package a little damaged .Bed only had a small chip , nothing to fuss about. This Bed is compressed wood. But made very good, very heavy . Not made for kids that want a bouncing bed. Top mattress only so it has a firm feel ! Storage drawers on side are not deep, but good for small stuff. This needs two people to build. But easy instructions. Seems really sturdy . Hope I can get at least 4 years out of it.My daughter really likes the bed though.
This bookcase was purchased to go along with a Honey Pine Captains Storage Bed we also purchased on Overstock. The finish is a nice match, and this bookcase seems sturdy and like it will last. My husband said it was a little tricky to put together, but it didn't take him long. It looks great in our young son's room. We have books in some of the space, and put colored fabric storage cubes in other spots.
