This frame was easy to put together. Like the instructions said, easy as 1,2,3. And it was. My kids haven't had any complaints just yet. I may order the X-large twin bed next go round though.
While this bed so far seems decently designed and well executed, be aware that if you buy the 6 drawer version of this bed, only one side of your bed has drawers. The other side is completely open.... useless unless you plan to put this bed against the wall. The wood of the bed seems sturdy and of good quality, although there is minimal hardware holding all the pieces together, and I'm mildly concerned about the structural soundness of it all. The drawers come assembled, and 3 of the 6 drawers had cracked and peeling bottoms upon bringing them out of the box- not great quality. They drawer piece attaches to the bed frame with a chinsey corner bracket on both bed posts. Not to mention that when you order this product from Overstock, it comes to you in a freight shipment because of the large size and weight of the boxes. Oh, and the cardboard boxes arrive in a HUGE WOODEN CRATE.... That the shipping company will leave on the side of the road outside of your dwelling and refuse to take back with them. So not only do you have to deal with disposing of a HUGE wooden crate, unless you paid the large extra sum of money for an in home delivery, you have to deal with getting these large and super heavy boxes into your home. This whole experience made me question Overstock's practices as well - consequently this bed is also available on *** So, if you're willing to deal with cracked drawers, disposal of wooden shipping crate, and want to put the open side of your bed against your wall... then this is the bed for you! Frankly, I'm wishing I kept shopping.
