It's a little pricey for what it is, but it serves my purpose. My only problem with it is that the finish is a bit weird and it stains easily when you put a cup of coffee on it.
This set is made well. It is strong and well designed. HOWEVER,I wish the description would have stated that the color "Cherry"" was a stain. I made the false assumption that this choice was a painted surface and was disappointed that the set is not a cherry red painted finish but rather a stain that is more of an orange red and (in my opinion)quite garish. I will keep the set but will now have to sand and paint it.
Saw another set I liked much better but it was too late to buy. It was better quality than this one. This one had weird streaks in the finish and my husband had to find screws to fit the chairs as some were missing in the box. Kind of cheap, really.
I was looking for chairs of a specific height and this fit the bill (13" seat height). There was a good wood color selection. The chairs were easy to assemble and appear to be quite sturdy. They are not wobbly at all. all the pieces fit together easily, the holes were pre-drilled accurately, and everything was nicely finished. Most of the wooden chairs I saw when looking were at least twice the price of these. I think these are a great value. I am a mother of 4, and grandmother of 3+, and an early childhood educator -- I have used a lot of small sized furniture. These chairs are as nice as any I have seen.
