We've had this bunk bed for awhile now. It's nice and sturdy, but if we had the chance to return it we would. 1. It was hard to assemble because not all parts were labeled clearly and we ended up with the ladder on the wrong side, so we had to drill our own hole to attach it. It was not fun. 2. There is not any room for a parent to sit when tucking your child into bed or trying to read them a bedtime story. They made the room between top and bottom bunk too small (maybe it has to be this way). 3. The ladder is hard for my kids to climb for some reason. I should have opted for stairs. All that being said, my kids still are happy with them. My main reason for not liking this item is point #2.
Bed is left corner horizontal or right corner vertical oriented only. This worked for our room setup. It takes some time to assemble. It helps to have tools. My hubby had no issues. Very sturdy and smart looking. Need to be able to reach and lift mattress to change sheets / make bed. Would reccommend to others.
All by itself, the bed is excellent. The delivery was...HORRIBLE. The first bed was lost and and then when the second bed came 2 months later, the box was marked as "nonstackable twin bunk bed" ??? Read that slowly. I know. I ordered a full over full STACKABLE bunk bed! Ok well there was little bit of a language translation barrier per the writing on the box. The bed ended up being what I ordered. The first line of customer service was...HORRIBLE but because Overstock lost a $1000 sofa at the same time my bed was lost, the claim was escalated. Bed found, food sturdy bed, boys happy, each kid weighs over 200 lbs. Happy mom...now.
