Went together well, although I used a T-handle allen wrench which proved MUCH easier over the included standard L-shaped allen wrench. No broken pieces (packed very well). Only problem is the slats are about 12 inches apart, and the foam mattresses I bought states the slats should be no more than 3 inches apart. There is some sagging of the mattresess between the slats both top and bottom. To make this product better, perhaps double the slats should be designed into the bed. The slats are non-standard size, and hard to add additional ones due to the "slat holders", especially on the top. This will be used in a beach rental, so we will see how it holds up after a season of rentals!
Very difficult to assemble. Required 2 people & about 3 hours. Many of the screws didn't line up with the screw holes. I ended up with one screw sticking out of the back about an inch. Since it's on the back, against the wall, I had to tape a piece of foam to the screw to avoid puncturing a hole in the wall. It's just an "ok" bed.
Pros: I like the look of this bed frame and I love that I can store my suitcases underneath. It was easy to put together and has a nice modern feel. Cons: Though I love that the bed is tall enough for underneath storage, it was also hard adjusting to being so high up as I have a 12 inch memory foam mattress. I wish that the bed frame had a pocket for then mattress to sit inside because the mattress likes to move around. My mattress is also slightly too big for the frame. I have a full size memory foam mattress and I bought the full size frame but the mattress slightly hangs off on both sides. This frame gets the job done and I will definitely keep it as I can always use it in a guest room in the future.
This bed wasn't quite what I was hoping for. It's not too difficult to put together, but it certainly could have been easier. The support system is made up of slats that are 'tied' together using a tough fabric that is stapled onto the wood slat. The slats lay across the bed vertically with the main support coming from the edges of the bed. There is a third means of 'support' with a piece of wood that isn't very sturdy that goes horizontally across the bed about 1/3 of the way from the edge of the bed. That board actually broke a little over a month after I bought this bed. It actually split right down the middle where a screw had been holding it in place. The drawers never worked, I didn't really intend on using them so it's not a big deal but it does take away from the overall appearance of the bed. I set them in there anyway for appearance sake, but it still looks pretty bad. I would suggest looking for something studier if you're looking for a daybed and be aware that it does take up a little more space than your standard full-sized bed when you take the edges in consideration. A standard full sized mattress doesn't fit tightly on this bed, there is about 1-3 inches between the mattress and the edges total if you push it flush against one side.
