This frame looks as advertised, which we like. If you don't use the slats provided, it's easy to assemble. Ease of assembly is important, because in about three weeks the manufacturer's customer service has not responded to my phone call or email. The bed is a couple of inches lower than ideal, and the slats provided are thin and flexible; they do not make a rigid platform and do not provide good support for the excellent mattress we had just bought. Also, the cross in the head of most of the 24 screws provided to secure the 12 slats to the rails stripped out easily; they would not be good for more than one set-up of the frame. We solved most of the problems by buying enough 2x6 boards to fill the space between the rails under the mattress. The 2x6s precut to 40 inches in length cost about $**. The 2x6s provide rigid support, raise the mattress about an inch, and do not need to be screwed or otherwise secured to the rails. The bed is still an inch or so low, but otherwise is comfortable and attractive. We bought, assembled, and set-up two of the beds, and I've slept on one for the last three weeks.
